Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I agree with you on both points. This is not going to be quick or easy for either side.

not to mention, they have understood, the right price for the chokehold they control!

unlike us!

who have stacked up a debt of unfathomable amount

imagine the hypocrisy and the number of ignorant believers in the system

A-10 Planes and Apache Helicopters Join Air Campaign Against Iran

By

Michael R. Gordon
and

Lara Seligman
American A-10 attack planes and Apache attack helicopters are now striking Iranian targets on Iran’s southern flank, said Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The A-10s are striking Iranian fast-attack boats in the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has essentially closed to maritime traffic, Caine said. The U.S. Air Force has long sought to retire the A-10 to save funds to develop more advanced planes. But the A-10, with its nose-mounted 30-millimeter gun, has proved to be useful in past air campaigns against insurgents and now against Iranian targets.
If A-10s are now patrolling that means Iran's AD systems have been sufficiently degraded to not pose a major threat.

What gives you reason to believe they are still operational?

It doesn’t matter if they are operational or not. They were never the backbone of the A2/D2 strategy.

There were a known 15 Ghadir midget submarines. At least a few were shown destroyed. Thus id imagine the amount of that survived being in underground submarine bases or tunnels is somewhere around 5-7.

Keep in mind they carry 2 torpedo ports. But they only need to be successful once to cause immense damage to $1B+ navy vessels

Midget submarines are useless against warships. There are hundreds of asw assets that will spot them from miles away before they can get in range. They can be useful in striking merchants but they are likely all destroyed by now

Correct. US ASW is among the best there is. Those midget sub crews would never get close enough. Especially to any CSG.

Pakistan has been at war since early 1980 from Afghanistan and low intensity conflicts with India for a chunk of Pakistan's history, plus the foreign engineered insurgencies. It has depleted Pakistan's economy, killed tens of thousands of Pakistanis, sown plenty of domestic discord. But ceding any territory is unacceptable to Pakistan and thus even for the tiny sliver of the Siachen Glacier, Pakistanis have been fighting for four decades.

Now compare that with our Syrian friend @Haz who seems Okay to buy the peace even if that means permanently losing the Golan Heights and the newly acquired Syrian territories by Israel. As I said a couple of days ago: Syrians should join Hezbollah to defend not only Lebanon's territorial loss but also to take back the Syrian territory in this 'Now or Never' War.
That is completely false and a lie. Israel had control of the Golan heights for decades, yet somehow it's now very very important to get into war with Israel right away to get that area back despite the fact that we are completely destroyed already after 15 years of civil war and have zero chance of being able to beat Israel right now to reclaim that territory.

So if in 50 years of Assad rule he didn't manage to get that area back despite having an actual real military, we somehow now urgently need to make sure we start a war with Israel to fight for it with no military at all. How logical.

Instead of taking some time to try and recover our economy, stabilize our security after being defacto split into two states for a decade until last month, and rebuild our strength and fighting capability before engaging Israel and have a single hope in hell to win over them, we should throw ourselves in our weakest state at them so we get completely destroyed and risk refracturing the entire country again.

Seems like you don't really give a shit about Syria or Syrian people, you just want them to be your sacrificial lambs for Iran, that's all. We never accepted Israel's occupation or agreed to it, but that doesn't mean we need to be stupid and attack them right this moment before we are prepared to put a real fight and absorb the consequence that come with that war.

But it's clear from your arguments that your motivation has nothing to do with what is beneficial for Syria or care for it's territory, you want us to be embroiled in another never ending conflict that keeps our blood flowing to save Iran. That's all that is really important for you, clearly.

UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Netherland and Japan will now likely move at pace to contribute towards keeping strait of hormuz open.

All these countries have said they will help "after the war is over". None of them are getting involved right now.

People of Syria have suffered enough and noone is realistically asking them to fight Israel for the Golan. Let's return to the topic.
