Trump admits the US attacked Iran "out of habit" and for Israel

US and European markets dark red. Trump must be proud he did this for his best friend Netanyahu.

I agree, it only means they will
Need to fly higher. They don’t have complete aerial superiority. The fighter was allegedly taken down by mobile IR weapons system meaning , the lower level stike capability is not open to drones or low flying aircraft.

Strategically this results in
- Higher cost of operations as planes have to fly high with full weapons load meaning, aerial refueling and complicated logistics.
- Lower tempo as they need to operate with maned aircraft or HALE drone assets
- they can’t bring in larger bombers as the airspace is not open and it highly probable that Iran is still hiding some s-300 mpu systems
not true, the A-10 warthog has been operating over Iran for a few days now. With precision munitions higher altitude operations is easy. Jets in general operate more fuel efficiently at higher altitudes, less drag since air density is lower. There is no hiding an operating S-300 unit, IR missiles are a greater challenge since there is no radar warning receiver to alert the pilot of an impending missile launch. The time to decoy or deceive an inbound IR missile is more compressed vs a radar guided missile.
On the flip side, IR seekers are easier to decoy. The point is however that a stealth aircraft has no business getting low to the ground. under those circumstances the VLO platform is operating outside its sweet spot by giving up its main advantage of stand off engagement.

Yep, whatever Trump & team are doing isn't working and it reflects in the markets and the polls.

why would a stealth fighter engage ground targets with a gun? It's not how they train or fight. Strafing ground targets with fast air is perilous and is rarely done unless it is in support of ground troops in contact with the enemy and at risk of being overrun. Besides the fake F-35 in the video was in a shallow slow climb completely oblivious to the inbound missile. Considering the sensor suite on the F-35 that it is highly unlikely. The system automatically tracks missiles with full 360 deg of coverage and automatically dispenses counter measures. Is it possible to launch a shoulder fired IR guided missile from an open window of a high rise in an urban setting ...and hit the aircraft of course. But flying so close to hostile terrain with plenty of cover for pop up threats is in itself not permitted fast air isn't cleared to fly so low under those circumstances.

Doesn't the French rafale have a similar suite??? What happened there??

Until Trump doesn't end his term, the investors and markets will suffer a great deal.

The plan is to occupy Kharg on one end and interdict Iranian tankers on the other. But analysts are also pointing out at the huge flaws in the idea. Taking and keeping Kharg could be very expensive and Iranian tankers are carrying Chinese oil.
Indeed. Plus, that would require the USN getting far closer than they have at any point so far to Iranian shores, as far as any of us know. Maybe they're willing to do it. We'll see in the coming months, I suppose.

One of the other potentialities is some harebrained scheme to drop in to where they think the enriched uranium (or some of it) is and extract it (mentioned by Rybar and other aggregators/analysts as a potential option). Possible, as I'm not sure people will buy their 'haha we took out the entire nuclear program mission accomplished' talk two years in a row.

That jet "could" well be a write off, a stealth jet 'form' is part of its 'function' ie its stealth shield. That stealth shield is based on its very precise shaping ie form, and materials. While the jet made it home with it pilot, with the type of damage it has received, can it be repaired? It is not the same as repairing a 4/4.5 Gen platform.
its not f22 where production has stopped ,

they can absolutely repair it , if it maneged to fly all the way back to KSA
