Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

For me it was not that, we know most of Iran's air defence are gone, everyone can agree with that. What is very interesting (with the danger of sounding like the Indian CDS here) is not how many where lost, but how they were lost. It looks like Iran tracked its heat trail if I am not mistaken?

No one has done that in combat (happy to be corrected here), so a weakness has been found. That, for me, is the main takeaway
The F-35's infrared signature is optimized to delay medium/long range detection. This means it is vulnerable at short range. The idea is to dissipate / disperse heat quickly by mixing the hot exhaust with ambient cold air so an IR receiver at 60 miles can't see those emissions. However, this makes it very visible at short range a design trade off since the F-35 isn't meant to get close to the enemy.

lets put this to rest since apparently no one knows who these guys are in this photo from July 2024. lets go from right to left:

Yahya Safavi (senior military advisor) - alive
Gholamreza Soleimani (former commander of Basij) - killed
Alireza Tangsiri (commander of IRGC Navy) - alive
Mohammad Pakpour (former commander of IRGC-GF) - killed
Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi (member of Assembly of Experts) - alive
Masoud Pezeshkian (President) - alive
Hossein Salami (former commander of IRGC) - killed
Esmaeil Qaani (commander of IRGC Qods Force) - alive
Amir Ali Hajizadeh (former commander of IRGC-ASF) - killed
Mohammad Kazemi (former commander of IRGC Intelligence) - killed
Majid Khademi (commander of IRGC Intelligence) - alive

conclusion: majority of people in the June 2024 photo (6/11) are still alive.

Addressing Peral harbor was extremely insulting. Which lead to nuclear strike. Time after time Trump remind other nation , they should have nuclear weapons.

He is helping Israel to kill all Iranian negotiators and then complains there is no one to talk to.. Go figure.

The new age of warfare (see Ukraine-Russia) isn’t “large scale” armies like you saw in 1990 or 2003. It’s small mobile platoons or squads throughout the “front line”.

And if the U.S. is doing a shore landing (the most viable land operation IMO) with the goal of a clear and hold operation to build a buffer around the strait of Hormuz, the terrain does not favor the attacker against such teams.

Defending the invasion by US Alliance is a different scenario all together. The Original post was about Irani allies invading israel border.

its not f22 where production has stopped ,

they can absolutely repair it , if it maneged to fly all the way back to KSA
That's not a given. An F-35 operates with materials and sensors pushed to their absolute limits. Even small imperfections matter. After the explosion in the video, getting everything back to 'perfection' would be extremely difficult.

these ships have very little air defences (and none against ballistic missiles)

how does the US plan to send them to Iran's shores considering it still keeps its CSG 1000km away?
