I think it depends and given the fog of war its hard to know, we will know when cease-fire happen and media start reporting. Bibi is on a religious war path, i know many Americans will shrug it off but bibi is doing all that with a faith of bringing his messiah, he is a lunatic and he probably knows that he either gonna get jail time corruption or he may even have some sort of Terminal illness, but Israel's deep state is gonna suck bibi to a point that they will tie up all lose ends like Hamas, Hez and Iran. And if dust settle and new leadership is bit less crazy in Israel, they will just say it was all bibi who went crazy, Trump will have secret service protection so he will live a peaceful life in Mara lago, occasional issuing statements on how he made America so great. Iran's victory is in its survival, and hence we are seeing that neither Israel/America is letting it slide, but one thing is refreshing that more and more Americans are getting aware of AIPAC and Israel holding America by balls.

recently in my own co-workers group chat, which is sort of neutral in this whole war/conflict, first time a couple of people mentioned over topic of Charlie that he was killed because he get on the wrong side of Israel.

if Pakistan does go to defend Saudi, then the messaging on this to the people must be clear, precise and correct and defined what "defending" means. Offensive operations "into" Iran should be off the table, Pakistan should not defend USA bases or USA military personnel either. Any attempt to lie, will cause resentment and given the size of the Shia population in Pakistan, as we saw with the Embassy incident, will create a lot of problems.

I don't think we are there yet, but it is difficult to know what is "truly" going on in MBS's mind, and what he has promised to the USA and how deeply he is, or isn't involved with the USA attack planning on Iran.

I really don’t like the timing. It could be connected to US deploying troops.

A fight against Hezbollah would be alot easier than trying to keep the strait open... could make sense, but you don't really need landing ships for that. just fly everyone in through any one of the neighboring countries.
Maybe for the optics, I guess, and to prop up an ego the size of the solar system, you could see a landing operation in southern Lebanon...

Article 5 was only implemented and requested one time in NATO history. That was the United States invoking article 5 in 2001

Article 5 was not involved in NATO or any other country except for that one lone exception

I mean if you see the chaos unfolding around all of region, you can connect any 2 dots it will look like they are connected, America doesn't need Pakistan and neither does Gulf countries, they can easily muster 30-40k soldiers for ground invasion support if they all decide to go full assault on Iran. I don't think Pakistani troops are needed, also man we are at war with Taliban, we have India on the western border which to this day say ops sindoor is still ongoing, we have no military resources to spare. Its a very weird situation for Pakistan, we are treated good and mistreated by both Iran and KSA, we are just trying to keep neutral and not to get involved in this war, we have done it for over the years. Whether it was Syria or Libya or sudan or Yemen, our neutrality holds the test of time despite being super dependent on Gulf bailed out loans.

Ok so what will he do with landing troops in Lebanon? capture the whole of Lebanon and build a military base there ? keep the troops ? Are we putting US troops again in thousands in every country Israel bomb? rather than putting ground troops in every middle Eastern country if America just put boots in Israel to keep them in check that will make the region somewhat peaceful .
