Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Is that enough?

In my opinion, French revolution started due to rising cost of bread. Roti, Kapra aur Makaan needs to be stabilized in short term which is a priority. Everyone is a revolutionary until starvation sets in our neck of woods.

Lets remember Iran is in itself a tough position, they will not have much assets to spare to take on Pakistan, and the mist effective way for any land invasion of Iran is via Pak. Geographically Balouchistan is the soft under belly of Iran.

My guess is if we go for purely defensive role for Saudi Iran may understand this

— Wipe out all of our loans that we owe Saudi

— Half price oil

— $20 billion yearly economic aid minimum + 10$ billion minimum to sustain military readiness

— Diplomatic support in all our regional endevours
This plus a change on the ground of some territory might make it very worthwhile for Pakistan, I'd prefer not to expand on this part due to sentimental backlash

One thing, Pakistanis are not revolutionaries.

What Pakistan needs is support in global reach and influence for its say to matter. We need someone to make the world believe when we say "india is actively supporting terrorists in afghanistan and region against Pakistan". We need investment in our region that can produce highly skilled labor and industrial base with manufacturing plants that can grow and match other countries. Once we are able to manufacture we will be strong enough on our own.

I wholeheartedly agree with your first part of post. We need global outreach like yesterday. If Pakistan criticizing India again for water, it means India has started choking Pakistani water supply once again for this season. We need to urgently sort this matter out.

The investment is a pipedream that our talented SIFC fails to resolve even. India is the only region getting billions of dollar investment because of highly skilled labour. But lets discuss and cry over this fact in the economoy thread. I

I protest, indian manpower is not highly skilled but is cheap and submissive.

I can tell you from experience, with proper guidance and supervision, Pakistani manpower can leave indians way behind.

Iran was playing a dangerous game, we often call out the GCC for hosting US bases but the Iranian regime seems to have done enough to antagonise Arabs. I know they had some kind of ethno and sectarian feud which likely motivated it but if they had focused on Israel they would have a lot more goodwill in the region.

In the event of a collapse it might be neccessary and there could be much benefit to it possibly.

Bai, we cannot even properly control our own four provinces politically and you are asking to add people from another country to govern. Nope. In the event of collapse someone will pop up and play the puppet. What we want from that puppet is to keep beneficial bilateral relations, respect our sovereignty and not let their soil to be used by indians to wage proxy war in Pakistan. Itna bohat hy bus.

From what I have seen in my work place and work related travels I 100% agree here

If you haven't, you should read the comments in war thread. iranians were more jubilant for attacks on arabs than israel.

I totally get your point here but some areas are relatively unpopulated with a demograpgic overlap anyway. It wouldn't be like a whole new province in practise but I understand your perspective.
