This is bad news if true.
Pakistan managed to bomb Afghan Taliban military and logistics infrastructures across Afghanistan. Other than that nothing else was achieved that would have guaranteed Afghan Taliban stopping support for TTP or any other terror outfits like BLA. Also no HVT were eliminated in this "open war", so that's also a bummer and a huge missed opportunity and also shows our intelligence failed to track down these targets, unless they are good at it but deliberately show restraint (which is highly unlikely). Afghanistan still doesn't recognize the border. So in the end we just gave a beating to Afghanistan and other than that did nothing of significant value for the benefit of Pakistan. The infrastructure can be rebuilt with time and the Afghan Taliban will just take lessons out of this beatings.
