Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

Drop site news reported today that according to the Afghan government, the army bombed a rehab hospital in kabul killing 400 people. Is this true?

Afghan govt claims a lot of things, do we need to believe everything?
Drop site is pretty credible as a reporting org. I cant remember who they cited as the source tbh, think they said afghan gov. Ill double check.

But no i do not trust the taliban.

Edit: yeah they reported its from the gov

No problem.

Short answer: No pakistan did not attack a rehab center but an ammo dump/drone making factory.

Long answer: please go through some previous pages to see what happened to the rehab center nex to an ammo dump.

Drop site is not credible at all lmao, regularly cites no sources and has low quality writers that would not meet the quality filtering elsewhere.

If anything it's a group of failed journalists that built publicity over popular topics by spamming X.

Its run by Jeremy Scahill, and Ryan Grim. None of whom are failed journalists by any metric, both of whom have done award winning work.

Their permanent staff include a critical mass of highly respected, and accomplished investigative journalists.

On what basis would you call a staff of senior Intercept journalists: someone like scahill who did major disclosures of Abu Ghraib, the snowden leaks, blackwater, or someone like grim who has nearly won a pulitzer prize as uncredible failures?

Can you conversely share an example of more successful journalism? The bar would be the aforementioned examples.

I will do so thanks.

The claim from the afghan gov already already would deserve skepticism since it does not align with pakistani incentives whatsoever.

They got their country invaded and destroyed by US for a wahabi are still chummy with AQ and they are also cursing them? What do they want?
Its what inevitably happens in a theocratic context. Religion ends up instrumentalized. They are dealing with salafi security risks now, so that is declared as immoral.

One of the most elegant quotes I've heard is (paraphrasing): "Religion in the realm of moral ideals, and politics is the realm of moral compromise. Thus to intermix politics and religion is to compromise moral ideals."

I personally dont believe in a total segregation of religion and the state, there is a delicate balance that needs to be struck imo and carefully managed. However total integration is obviously corrupting.

It's the time again.
