Not independence but options; economic options more than anything. But yes, Pakistan wouldn’t be so beholden to the GCC, for loans, remittances, jobs, political support.

Pakistan could build up industries and not be dependent on GCC funding; be accused of bringing the “begging bowl” every year. It could get back on track of good economic management.

Pakistan would have the means to pay off its loans and have the incentive to protect the arrangement if not Iran itself from being disrupted. It would also give Iran incentive to keep it going as well.

For Iran, winning back the 50% of the population on the fence, after their Tiananmen square 1989 moment of biggest mass protest followed by near regime takedown, it existential.

For Pakistan and Iran cooperation could also help stabilize Baluchistan, the province easiest to have foreign forces move on from the sea.

An oil terminal at Gwadar would also allow a secure non-Iranian port for Chinese ships to fill up.

All the world hates zionists after what they did to the children and hospitals in gaza , a lot of westerners don't care anymore if jews civilians got killed inside hospitals or inside their bedrooms, they say they deserve the same.

Iran should target everything.
