Pakistan has delivered a proposal from the United States to Iran, and either Pakistan or Turkiye could be venues for discussions to de-escalate the war in the Gulf, a senior Iranian official told Reuters on Wednesday.

The comments, by an official speaking on condition of anonymity, were among the few signs that Tehran was willing to consider diplomatic proposals, despite having denied in public that it would negotiate with the administration of US President Donald Trump.

The Americans, much to the disappointment of Israel, have thrown big carrots like no regime change in Iran AND lifting of all sanctions on Iran. There is too much disagreement between the two sides but, I believe, if Iranians are even willing to negotiate then they must have some reasons to do so.

Iran has damaged the Dubai airport way way more and has not even looked at an airport in the entity occupied land. All the while Iran-UAE trade was about $20 to $30 billion a year, and Iran-Israel trade is at almost $0 a year, discounting the black market trade with the both. Iran's only available option during the war (i.e. before it ends) is Pakistan, but Pakistan is pro-US and pro-Saudi.

This is why I ridiculed the Iranian officials when they threatened to go nuclear if Iran is attacked. I said: "Who says you'll be given a chance to go nuclear after you're attacked?"

Trump literally destroyed Iran's path towards nuclear weapons. Iran's 440 kg of 60% HEU is Iran's only remaining hope but Khamenei wasted another 9 months doing nothing.

I cannot see a path towards nuclear weapons during the ongoing Ramadhan war. Maybe after it ends, we can do something. In fact, we must do something or we will be attacked again and again until it's over.

It was Kamenei's biggest mistake not to build the bomb, not sure if it's Khamenei only or the whole of IRI. Iran is paying the price now.

I think you know what I was saying. If Iranians had accepted the 'negotiations' before this war was launched then they would be killed anyway but without any defenses next time.
In the proposed negotiations, because Iranians have now proven to have capabilities to not only fight back but also to choke the global economy, there is the removal of all sanctions on Iran as part of the American proposal and that was not on the offer before.
