As I said a few days back : The goal is not to colonize, submit or even regime change Iran. It's about making the war as lengthy and destructive as possible for the country. Even a localized ground invasion means the start of carpet bombings to establish a safe LZ and then a margin for days or weeks-long operations. There is no "going out ASAP", that's exactly the contrary that is actually happening. He's mobilizing assets for the long haul.

And as casualties inevitably start mounting, he'll double the force. And then double what's come to double it , and so on. And at some point he'll say "we need to obliterate and occupy the whole of the southern coast" which will mean 100,000 more troops at the minimum, and then some more, and more, and more. He'll strike the Sepah's ground force. Then the Artesh. Infantry bases, then mechanized brigades. And at the peak of that phase, he'll start talking to the Kurdish separatists again. And the Baluch on the opposite side.

The man has stopped caring about the economy, gas prices, public opinion including in his own base, or the amount of military casualties and costs incurred. He is either blackmailed to the bone by some Epstein files and/or he has switched to pathological obsession mode to an entity that dared say no when he ordered a surrender. Even a 150$ barrel means nothing, he'll claim it's good for the fraking business. He'll say that people will manage. And they will, reluctantly manage. Or even get miserable with it, but who cares ? What will they do ? Protest, even en mass ? and so what ? he'll call his buddy at the FCC to remove licences for any media daring speak about it in numbers, and if not enough he'll call for treason charges, MacCarthy style.

There is nothing and no one stopping a madman President in the system if he decides to be OCD about a given objective or policy. Impeachment ? ahahah ROFL. Congress not voting funding ? ROFL². There are ways around it anyway, in the extremely unlikely event it gets enough opposition (which it will not). POTUS can be as tyrannical as he wants, the institutional fabric now fully allows it, in most western countries.

He is not even seeking favorable terms in a negotiated settlement, assuming he ever even did. He is after destruction. Phased destruction. And magazine depth is not a problem for carpet bombings. Dumb munitions are virtually unlimited, with or without JDAM kits.

I predicted it will be very difficult to contain this to air operation alone like in Serbia. It had all the symptoms of descending into the slippery slope of Vietnam. It is unforgiveable that such a war was started without involving Congress and the people.

Iran couldn't kill anyone Israel.
Max they are hitting empty buildings etc. As Israel Anti missile is good and their civilians are trained with bunkers all over the place.

Not even able to hit any AD system in Israel.

This is all fog of war. We have to accept that.

Also planes need to be out of bombardment zone.

Army folks I know were happy when the gravel pit camo was done away with. Air Force held onto theirs a little longer. Airmen blended in great with the runways and ramps.

If there is a large ground operation (stupid idea), this seems like a good idea. Far away in an arid desert, likely weakly defended and difficult to resupply (for Iranians) due to flat terrain. U.S. military knows the geography well due to long familiarity with nearby Afghanistan. Only problem is, there is a war going on between Pakistan and Afghanistan and a large military activity nearby may lead to confusion. On the plus side, U.S. and Pakistan military work well with each other possibly leading to less confusion.

Israeli General should use Israeli troops to pay the cost, instead of American lives to serve the Zionist agenda . Israel sucking US like a leech for 7+ decades and we are struggling with paying bills and high medical costs.
