U.S potential strategies for ground operations

A ground operation against iran will be costly to the U.S both inititally and over time through attrition. That's not to say they won't try it as they get desperate.

1) i don't think they will send special forces after irans uranium, to locate & take out 450kg will be very difficult.

2) invasion on the makran coast wont achieve much.

3) brute forcing through hormuz strait is a death trap

4) only viable option i see is sending in marines from saudi arabia to kuwait by land. then bombing kharg heavily to provide cover. in the meanwhile sending in troops via a combination, of helicopters, amphibious craft and airborne.

if this is indeed the plan the earliest they would do it is in late april.

They would have to wait for the other aircraft carrier that is coming from japan as well as troops and other assets to get in position

5) Alternatively, the smartest strategy, would be gradual increase of troops to keep iran guessing and to use as leverage for a cease fire.

I think orange must be the only person on the planet believing that anyone can find it believable that he is not turning this into a total war with an increasingly massive ground component. Literally every single word he says have become cheap, clownish blatant lies and he either does not have the basic intelligence to try and hide it or genuinely is retarded and low-IQ enough to sincerely believe he is being sneaky and smart about it, and nobody actually sees it.

As I said a few days back : The goal is not to colonize, submit or even regime change Iran. It's about making the war as lengthy and destructive as possible for the country. Make it last more and more through phased escalations so that it drags on and on sufficiently for it to be crippled for decades to come. Even a localized ground invasion means the start of carpet bombings to establish a safe LZ and then a margin for days or weeks-long operations. There is no "going out ASAP", that's exactly the contrary that is actually happening. He's mobilizing assets for the long haul.

And as casualties inevitably start mounting, he'll double the force. And then double what's come to double it , and so on. And at some point he'll say "we need to obliterate and occupy the whole of the southern coast" which will mean 100,000 more troops at the minimum, and then some more, and more, and more. He'll strike the Sepah's ground force. Then the Artesh. Infantry bases, then mechanized brigades. And at the peak of that phase, he'll start talking to the Kurdish separatists again. And the Baluch on the opposite side.
