Yeah and if we look at trajectory, its undeniable the leaps of today started happening recently, in terms of actual platforms. You don't have to like the govt to see that basic reality. Where was Turkey's drone program? Could Turkey build warships before MILGEM? AESA radars? Or the vast missile and munitions, There are all recent elements. Did the ecosystem exist to source all the subcomponents internally? When did Defense exports take off?

Are you really asking that why we didn't build AESA radar in 1970s ?

I think, you are smart enough to find the reason. How an industry developes over time.

Did radars exist? What Radars was Turkey building that were worldclass at the time? whether for fighter jets or air defense systems? You really going to go for a red herring over AESA?

Turkey is in the geopolitical standing it is in today, that even the enemies of Turkey acknowledge is due to govt support, yet the people who vote for the "Why are you shooting missiles, its scaring the fish" people, they don't want to acknowledge even that. Not saying everything that they did was the right decision, of course they made mistakes, but then to act as if they did nothing is silly.

before ERDOGAN Turkiye had only 100 ATACMS , 50 SLAM-ER , 95 HARM and 96 POPEYE Missiles ... Total of 340 Missiles ... nothing else

Greece create AD umbrella with 800-1500 SAMs by 2030
