A few dozen more australians and European citizens and this would do a bigger damage to the remaining UAE's image than this so called "unjust" war imposed on them by Iran.

Thousands of Marines and Special Forces are being prepared to seize key maritime points. Expect heavy support from the US Air Force and Navy to maintain air superiority and suppress coastal defenses.

1. Neutralizing Nuclear and Missile Capabilities - It hasn't materialised. Iran still has enriched uranium. Underground missile storage sites are in tact. Missile production facilities are still functioning.

2. Securing the Strait of Hormuz - Iran has completely paralysed world economy. It remains to be seen if the US is able to secure the Strait of Hormuz. Very unlikely.

3. Degrading Economic and Energy Infrastructure - Kharg Island has been targeted to cripple Iran’s oil export capacity. The aim is to hit refineries and power plants. Strike to diminish the Iranian revenue and ability to sustain a prolonged war. Remains to be seen if US ground invasion is able to achieve this.

4. Regime Change and Strategic Neutering - This represents a terrible miscalculation on the part of the Western powers and Israel. Successors have filled the void very quickly and Iran has seamlessly continued its response.

This could be a signal that the U.S. might accept closing some bases in the region and moving them to Israel. Those bases in the middle east are all damaged now too.

Israel plans to propose to the United States the establishment of military bases on its territory, aiming both to relocate existing bases from elsewhere in the Middle East and to build new facilities amid the war with Iran, according to Israeli Channel 12.
