Honestly, just "meat for the grinder". The USA is not deploying troops at levels to make any favourable impact to the USA at all.

"Best case" scenario, politically, for USA might be to have Arabs (or anyone!) join the impending ground assault against Iran, so that the Americans can leave someone else to provide the cannon fodder.
