no but my point is that cost is not a metric to judge capability by.

For example, an F-16 airframe, without an engine would sitll cost more than a JF-17, but you would say for sure that the JF-17 is going to be more capable

Also people tend to focus on the "branding", "Oh it's a American frontline asset it must be more advanced then anything else" Rather then seeing things objectively

We know for sure that specific advanced tracking/sensor capabilities were removed from Indian P8 versions........

Bhai it was posted here, there are slides from the ppt that the OEM presented where it was mentioned that radar capabilities were reduced somewhat in features compared to USN P8 versions. I mean, you would expect the USAF/USN AIM120 and other weapons to have better and more optimized algorithms, right? versus the export versions?

I will share if i find that ppt.

And yea, it mentions that Indian versions have reduced precision targeting and reduced performance overall vs US ones. Would be software imposed probably, but Indians can't get source code...........
