US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Rumor is he was fired for opposing the ground war in Iran.
Incredible timing. Apparently they are “winning so much - theyre getting bored of winning” but hey lets fire most of the leadership? Maybe in reality they oppose Trumps scatter gun strategy. Maybe they said no to ground war?

Look at the resume of some of the people given the sack. What a waste of human capital.

Each a leader and a seasoned expert... Disaster.

This will go down in history as the second worst planned "military special operation" after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. And wow, wow. the US just admitted it is a cluster F and is running away after destroying the world economy. leaving the world answerable to Iran and oil prices that are out of control.
The blunder wasn't that big; the issue is not in how the US attacked and how Iran reacted.

Setting aside whether Iran should be attacked, if they were going to, you can't just go and literally send missiles over. You need preparation, and this is what the US F up pretty badly.

If this war were done properly and competently, you know you would need to deal with Hormuz at some point, and you need to be ready for it. Have an alternative wartime insurance to go with at least on the day you attack, and have the ship sign up for them before their own insurance is void. The US only offered that on the 14th.Way too late

Another issue is escort, you can't escort a ship with a Destroyer only, you need a balanced ASS (Air, Surface, Subsurface) capability. which means you are going to need both Frigate and Corvette, and the US doesn't have any. If the US and IDF started deploying their Navy ship in Hormuz, maybe that's enough to have them floating, since you have a good combo of Destroyer, Corvette, and LCS (Probably not but it can still do something), or if they consulted with NATO or Europe and mass a Floatilla before they went in, it might work in conjunction with the Insurance the US offer. But they did none of that before the first missile fall, what the Trump admin did literally is attack first and hope for the best, fingers crossed.......that is what's wrong with this war.

They underestimated the Iranian resolve and capacity , so did I ... what do you think is best way forward from an American perspective ?

Not sure if this is true

There are rumors that forces are being assembled at Khasab in Oman and setting up an exclusion zone to guide shipping through. There are a few ships that had escaped the strait thru that tips in Khasab
