This rescue operation proved that our coordination on the ground is even worse than we thought. This whole thing took several hours and we couldn't even get there in time!

This actually reminded me of our rescue operation for our president and foreign minister. It took us nearly 2 days to finally find that they were dead with the help of Turkey.

Iran's comms are severely degraded. Ground units are most likely operating individually with very little real time info and what comms are in place are probably compromised by the Israelis.

Providing a fully coordinated and organised operation against any land invasion could prove to be very difficult.

It either means this province was 'softened' by US Air Force, and if so, Iran may have trouble defending the Kharg Island if it's unable to secure it's coast

Or Iran wants to remain calculated due to negotiations in the background which are ongoing

They could have gained a bargaining chip if they took 1 or 2 pilots to a safe location elsewhere in Iran but they had to search immediately if they knew it was shot down

I guess they didn't know it was shot down and Iranian forces couldn't communicate that effectively between each other. Which is why I suspect Israel had a hand in this.

If you know it's shot down send people immediately to recover the pilot it's a bargaining chip at negotiations table.

But that's easy for us to say. Trump could just say give me back the pilot or I bomb a power plant.

Oh man this is such bad luck for Iran, if only they had captured the pilots, they would have had a lot of leverage over the Yankees - or could have been really adventurous with the captives...

Yes when it's your people it's terrifying. I know the feeling and empathize with all Iranians.

When the Gaza war happened the way Israel was ferociously ruining the entire place and threatening ethnic cleansing made it so stressful we couldn't sleep well for months. Having to worry about the possibility of your people being exterminated and forced out of their nation is not a good feeling.

The fact that Helicopters and C130s could roam around Iran for hours, and not get shot down, is not a good look for Iran. ( It is quite surprising infact ).

Whether the loss of an F15E discourages the US plans, or the fact that Helicopters and C130s could roam freely for hours encourages the US and what that means for the next decision point as yet is unknown.

I think it's not important now , what's important is that they now know that Iran can target their top notch air force , they may reduce the air strikes which is good for Iranian civilians firstly and secondly for IRGC to take a break and organzie itself.

I think the Iranians have calculated that they can bog down USA to do something stupid like send in the troops that Iran can kill and make a PR nightmare out of US administration.

Problem is, Pete Hegshit and Dolund Trump are maniacs and psychos. They will bomb civilian sites in grudge and revenge.

I really hope Iranians give up their ego and come to a settlement.
