The USA is a fundamentally broken and flawed society if it values guns and bombs over the items in this list. They are truly a lost rudderless people with no sense of self or the future.

You do not just move heavy support aircraft a few hundred miles back and continue the war as if nothing happened. Space translates directly into time. Every extra mile an AWACS or a tanker has to fly from a newly designated safe runway means less loiter time over the battlespace, fewer refueling tracks, degraded radar coverage, and a drastic drop in sortie generation for the strike packages.
Yes, obviously it is always about efficiency over risk to maintain coverage tempo...so it would be beneficial to land at that base to refuel..sure.

But there is no evidence the planes were actually refueling when they got hit..if they were that would hint at efficiency. Okay maybe the crew got tired or maybe some equipment needed a "cool down". You still didn't actually need to park it there if wasn't a touch-and-go operation.

What we are watching is the total collapse of the sterile, frictionless war we were promised.
It is inevitable that some machinery gets lost in battle...but lets not increase the odds of it.

Now the threat envelope has expanded, the sanctuaries are bleeding, and the entire architecture of that lie is exposed.
You are being ridiculous. Those countries didn't spend billions on AA defenses just because they thought there was only a 1% chance they would ever be used. The threat envelope was well known.

KC-135 moved out of the Boneyard

You'd think this should be standard operating procedure on Day 1 instead of Day 30 so things could get rotated in quickly if sudden losses occurred.

Those planes aren't in the boneyard for a rainy day...they are there to be used as replacements during wartime...especially if for the sake of "efficiency" these planes were being parked near the front lines.

This is merely a diplomatic statement to preserve commercial relations with GCC states. China knows the longer the US remains bogged down in the Middle East and Europe, the less it will bother the Chinese.

oh I see...support those countries' complicity in the war against Iran...which is why Iran won't let their oil pass the strait.

in other words..fall in line behind US hegemony...certainly do not be on Iran's side and demand some concessions/promises first of the GCC towards Iran.

Talk about completely throwing a country under the bus...
