US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

LOL! Everybody was 100% positive the US was going to steal Iraq's oil..so much for that theory.
We don't get much oil from Iraq...I think China and India are their biggest customers with over 50%.

As for Iran any "supposed" future changes in oil deals or freedom for their people is likely not going to benefit the US much.
The US controls Iraq oil revenue this has been in place since 2003.

"The U.S. control over Iraq's oil revenues primarily stems from the management of Iraq's oil income through the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. ".

In short, all cash flow is under the control of the US as it is in the Federal Reserve Bank US bank.

Now, the article suggests that it is Iraqi who "requests" this, but we all know what that means in the world we live in right now..

I will speak to admin about it. Extending edit timer on posts for all members.

While you are it ? Can we remove the need to have "3 words minimum" for a post? Sometimes, one just like to post a "link" to an article without needing to write something as the "link" is self explanatory ?

There’s no evidence that money was ever restricted. The money was put there so it couldn’t be easily pocketed by somebody in the oil industry instead of funding Iraqi Government expenditures. Oil revenue is the Iraqi Government’s main source of income not some tempting private piggy bank for corrupt oil men.

US controls the Iraq oil revenue but doesn't collect it for herself...this seemingly minor difference changes the entire script.
