Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

UAE Qatar Oman Kuwait and Bahrain should have been a part of Pakistan in 1947 had it not been for the British
Dubai was built on expense of karachi and blood of poor pakistanis, who were killed in the name of sectarianism, racism, afghan war and whatnot! history of their airlines and role of our pia make one weep.. all thank to our selfish, incompetent and corrupt "Ashraafya"

But that not the topic for here...

OK Lord Elrond, one does not simply "shut down" a nuclear reactor, irrespective of the concrete shell. It takes weeks/months of gradual temperature/activity decrease by increments.

If USA attacks the power plant, the scientists will flee or be killed. Then USA will have to themselves occupy the reactor to safely shut it down incrementally. If USA occupies it, Iran might counter attack. There is also every chance that USA simply won't bother to systematically shut it down and may just tape it off, at best.

Any sort of attack on any nuclear facility is the realm of insanity, either emanating from a position of genuine mental retardation of the Americans who are charging into this battle, or even, quite deliberately, in order to provoke conditions that will ultimately lead to harm across the entire Gulf region from loss of control over fissile material. Only Israel benefits from a nuclear disaster in the Gulf...unless Iran hits them back, in which case it will be a most bitter harvest for centuries to come.
Even a badly designed power reactor has safeguards to prevent runaway reaction leading to meltdown. If it were not so, the reactor would have melted down long back whenever some equipment (like cooling pump) failed. But it is true any attack intentionally or otherwise is very stupid. Ukraine and Russia have been fighting a nasty war very near their reactors without any accident yet.

...which enabled Iran to fight a defensive war...which made iran fight its most effective way possible ,so why do some on PDF say iran needs to "fight an offensive war"?

Offensive war means iran not fighting its best, which creates big and bad problems for Iran, which increases the chance Iran loses the war.

Trump put iran in the best situation for 🇮🇷 to fight its best and 🇮🇷 took that opportunity fully!
Right.
And if you go back to the days leading to this war in this thread, there were some who were advocating that Iran should do a pre-emptive strike on America and Israel. NO! That would only give some tactical gains but would place Iran in a far worse situation diplomatically and militarily!
Iran has an inalienable right to defend itself as it was promised to Iranians 5000 years ago 😉:

Pakistan and Bangladesh would still be a part of Mughal (Iranian) Empire in India had it not been for the British.
You didn't understand his post.

He meant the British could have considered UAE in their withdrawal arrangements, as it was administered from Delhi at the time. As it turned out, they held onto this territory after leaving the subcontinent.

This theory of UAE acceding to Islamabad certainly has some rational basis. One even wonders what might have become of the place in some alternate timeline.

But it's all water under the bridge or even sand under the skyscraper now.

I hope CIA got Trump. Wouldn't be surprised if he died of "natural cause". No one can convince me that this war is in the best interest of the US.

Yup, Trump has pretty much lost his mind. Based on how many people have been fired recently in both admin and military, one should assume that there is widespread disapproval of this conflict with Iran and to keep it going.

Yeah no chance, you don't just receive new batteries on a dime, it's a years long process.
Why can't Iran "just receive" new AD systems from China?
When iran has a strong relationship and strategic partnership with China and is in a war that most of the Chinese population sees Iran as being the victim of the war?
There are multiple scenarios that could lead to China shipping AD and military supplies to Iran today or soon, including "emergency shipments".

What you both are referring to is European colonialist and imperialist history in the region. That was the work of Great Powers of that time as they carved out spheres of influence among themselves. Of course, such arrangements meant jack shit to the locals who were nothing more than expendable subjects to these Western overlords. 🙄

China's reformist faction (AKA the Dengists) is still siding with the US, but they are becoming more irrelevant and marginalized.

Also, Trump is also attacking the Chinese reformists just like killing most of Iranian reformists.

They are just a bunch of rabid dogs, even you want to capitulate to them, they still won't spare you.
Once Chinese decides to dump th dollar for yuan, you will see the cracks in the dollar

That hasnt happened as Chinese economy still needs reorientation to domestic consumption

Plus IMO, Chinese dont have enough allies, strategic military allies that will stay with Chinese no matter what, they way Americans have

"Iran is deploying significant numbers of decoys," and US not sure how "many launchers it has destroyed were real." -NYT

Iran has likely won the battle of ‘strategic deception’ about the size of its missile stockpile.

Hezbollah continues to use fiber-optic FPV attack drones to target Israeli armor in southern Lebanon.

Seen here, a pair of FPV strikes that hit Israeli Merkava Mk.4 MBTs. First one hits one of the tanks in its track, while the second hits the heavily armored turret front.
