There were a lot of benefits to this trip

  • While iran sabotaged existing runaways (Tehran Mehrabad) to prevent runaway landings. This operation made Iran remember there are still old runaways and flat areas were enemies can land
  • Helped reduce the likelihood of a uranium operation given how much equipment and how many mechanical failures happened on this trip
  • Act as a real life war game for Iranian planners to respond to quick rapid deployment of U.S. forces

Iran [hopefully] learns from this and adjusts its ground force doctrine to the realities on the ground

I’m surprised (American’s)they're telling all this publicly, so if anyone else needed to use that path in the future, they won’t be able to.

There are instances where it goes wrong.

In Afghanistan war, 4 spec ops were trapped by Taliban ambush fire. A helicopter rescue team was sent in and one helicopter was shot down killing I believe 16 spec forces.

If in this operation even 1 C-130 was hit by a manpad or two, it could have lead to the loss of dozens of soldiers and basically ended President Trumps presidency from a legacy standpoint.

The U.S. got very lucky on the downed location and timing. But respect goes out to US spec ops, they are second to none in their field.
If even the Brits write it.........

EVEN if the americans lost military personnel in THIS operation it's not as if they would publicly disclose those losses nor can you believe ANYTHING that the western/epstein media says.

Let me see if my gulfy allies are well prepared to counter what's coming after my blitzkrieg attack using world's most lethal weapons on Energy Infrastructure of Iran:
(Any other president would have gone with only somewhat lethal weapons)

KSA patriot stocks remain substantial.no worries there.

Uae intercepted 400+ ballistic missiles so sheikh already consumed 700+ interceptors
But no worries ya sheikh
Greece with PAC-3 and South Korea with Cheongung-2 are already there to support so 500+ interceptors already there

You will all be surprised.
Surprised very strongly
When i extend the deadline.

US got to safe the pilot and Iran managed to destroy two ( were they empty?) planes. Both have their PR win and maybe this moment Trump on this can wrap this war soon . Hopefully, yes?

One thing is clear: the pilot definitely disclosed her location to the Americans somehow. With time it would become clear what method was used and that Americans knew her precise location for the rescue to start. Definitely the Iranians were not aware of her location; they had been looking and announcing a reward for the location.
Hamartia, please update us on what kind of plan would send the C130s for rescue and then send Chinooks to rescue the crews of C130s and choppers? Why were the Chinooks not sent initially? If they did, she could have been rescued, and the USA wouldn't lose so many assets.

first time i am referring the pilot to be addressed as HER, is there something you know we are not aware of?

No you don't understand, Iran should have sent an entire armored division out to capture this pilot, now that they failed, unconditional surrender is the only option /s.

@Persian Gulf was taking it too hard last night.

There is no traditional “front line” in this war like there is Ukraine or even Lebanon right now. This isn’t the Iran - Iraq war where Iran had millions of soldiers lined up on the border cities at the front and these helicopters and planes flew over them and landed behind them.

Soldiers are barely deployed right now because barracks and large troop concentrations are at risk from being bombed by drones like we saw with Basij checkpoints.

Manpads also would have needed to be 10+ because all these planes carry flares and IR jammers so you would need to fire several and hope a couple got thru. Iran is massive countr and you can’t just hand manpads to every citizen and hope one of them carrying it and don’t sell it to terrorist groups.

Yes, they “burned” a lot of cards on this operation. While Iran would have loved to have the propaganda value of having 2 soldiers, it’s better for Iran to learn these ground war lessons now then on a much more critical operation.
