@side-winder Is their anything being done regarding the lack of A2G munitions on the j10c ? We cant just solely rely on BVRs , indians will lob ALCMs from 400km next time and wont even give us time to fly the birds .
I have seen the J10 apart from a untested chinese cruise missile doesnt have much a2g weapons , its a serious issue.

Depends on what you are prioritizing for the J-10C to do. If it is priority on A2A ops and you have a fairly reasonable A2G element available in JF blk 2 and 3 they can be given priority - then pivot to what you need as a deep strike asset.

I might be wrong but doesn't the Jeff has limited weight carrying capacity as compared to the j10? Even if the priority is given to the a2a on the j10 , we would need to change the priority depending on the circumstances no?

Yes it has limited capacity but would the workaround be getting more J-10s or giving the JF longer teeth?

Indians may dispute this but if Pakistan was able to reach Dehli’s airspace then the issue may not be just weight capacity but type of weapons needed for accurate delivery against SHORADs defending target.

Waisey, why haven't we been able to see any J-10 flying with AGMs??? All pics are for A2A weapons. I cannot fathom that PAF Bought J-10CEs just to carry 4 BVR and 2 WVR missiles......considering the higher wing loading due to delta wings and higher engine thrust, and more hardpoints all over, J-10CEs would considerably be suited for AGM or Air to Sea weapons?

Or is it PAF hasn't selected which ones it wants from the vast munitions available from the Chinese?

Tbh china doesnt have much a2g missiles for its single engine fleet , mostly some ALBMs but not much , their A2G package is mostly by the flankers or their H6 bombers

CM400s are quite effective and battle tested, i would assume PAF would want them flying on the J-10CEs.......for higher launch speeds to get maximum range.

What do people think about the need for LORA and Blue Sparrow equivalent missiles in our munition arsenal?

In terms of range we are limited, whereas Sparrow family is quite long-ranged.

It can allow for long-ranged strikes by the Air Force without risking assets too deep into enemy sensor networks.

So far you have no found anything equivalent that you can procure to be deployable by your main platform other than CM-400

There have been some serious proposals on modifying Abdali and Fateh to be ALBM. O don't know how far they have gone, but I know the studies have been done, its been talked in open sources.

Problem is that we lack any large heavyweight jets to carry Lora class ALBMs with 400KM+ range, you need a SU 30 or F-15s for those.

CM-400 does seem like a versatile family, with ARM and Conventional warheads. What's to say that an improved range version is not possible with improvement in propellant tech and flight dynamics? It is already rated for what, 400 km??

240 km and I don't think it's due to MTCR because then it would 290 km

Does anybody know why is murid so green? like as compared to literally every other PAF airbase why Murid is so taken care of interms of trees and bushes?
