US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Well apparently she came off at the very least left of center and was a darling of the progressive left.

Then a few years later she fell out of favor with them for going more centrist.
Interesting, probably along the line with most politicians.

Absolutely she was a rising star especially here in AZ. Being easy on the eyes helps too.

She and Manchin held the line regarding Senate tradition and the filibuster. That is what killed both their political careers.

Now, shall we get back to the topic please?

Edited my post. Progressives were also furious with her because she wouldn't go along with voting to end the filibuster.

Here we go...the elaborate definition of what needs to happen in order for the US to declare some kind of an accomplishment/win is being brewed...anything short of it of course somehow defaults to an automatic fail.

Maybe in order for Iran to declare a win they have to sink at least one aircraft carrier, shoot down 4.38 B-2s, and have Trump and Vance successfully impeached and kicked out of office with all their families' (plus their next door neighbors) assets confiscated.

5 weeks of a 3 day special military operation by greatest army in the world, didn't learn even after 1500 days of the 3 day special military operation by the 2nd best army in the world.

The word dumb is a serious
understatement.

Went grocery shopping too. Food prices have definitely gone up. Beef has spiked unbelievably! at least, in my area
Yeah, for us Halal meat/chicken is already 1-2$ more anyway, but hopefully Gas price comes down a bit more, which will eventually lower price of grocery items too.

Forgot to mention chicken has spiked unbelievably as well. And cereal well.. won't even go there

Guess it connected to how most of American grocery items are delivered via 18 wheeler trucks so if Diesel and Gas goes up everything goes up.

Diesel gone up over 40p per litre in U.K. 🫤

I empathize with you my friend. Gas here in the States has gone up substantially in many places including my own.

The shocks will remain in the system for some time unless, of course, the talks fail and we head back into war.

A few of us, like @RescueRanger and I, warned that this would end up costing all of us.

Iowa farmers hit hard by Iran war and tariffs

By CNN staff

Iran’s effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, coupled with President Donald Trump’s tariffs, is squeezing farmers as fertilizer and diesel prices rise.

CNN’s Jeff Zeleny spoke with two Iowa farmers who shared their concerns as a new planting season begins:

Iowa farmers hit hard by Iran war and tariffs

For context: The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints, ordinarily carries about a fifth of global oil and natural gas supplies and a third of the world’s urea fertilizer exports.

The waterway may be officially reopening for business since the US-Iran ceasefire, but shipping company executives and analysts told CNN that uncertainty surrounding the agreement is still making transit too risky right now. Only a few ships have made the journey in recent days.
