Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Its definitely a Positive development as Pakistan is now openly proving security guarantees to KSA, I think Qatar may soon wants to get in similar PACT, and I really hope that people in power look towards creating a joint Force with Pakistan-Turkey-KSA-Egypt for now. Also I really hope that KSA will help Pakistan with some funds for quick induction of more J-10's or JF-17's because we need it given we already have short number of fighters and a lot of our fighters are old (Mirages & F-7PG). If we can get J-35 which I don't see happening before 2027, but I really hope more JF-17's or J-10CE should come.

Turkey considers Israel as it's main potential adversary

Egypt considers Israel and Ethiopia as it's potential adversaries

Saudis consider Iran and potentially Israel as their adversaries.

For Pakistan it's essentially entirely India.

Now 3 of them have the same potential enemy but Pakistan doesn't, would you see Egypt coming in defense of Pakistan against India? Or Pakistan against Ethiopia? also This alliance sort of needs Pakistan since the Israeli have nukes the other three don't.

We already sort of a Muslim Nato in the past (CENTO) but it failed because the members refused to come in defense of each other.

Cento was less of a muslim alliance but a anti-communist containment organisation built by Britain to ensure the newly independent mid east states wouldn’t join the Soviets.

If there is a major iran deal and when all this is over, expect Saudi and Qatari check books open for PAF......

I think we will request APKWS kits from saudis or US atleast for f-16s. Im pretty sure these could work with some integration from jf-17 as well 🤔

it had a defensive clause when Pakistan wanted to activate that clause against India the other states basically said no.

why send blk3 when we can send f16 MLUs

Who says we sent blk 3s? Afaik there has been no confirmation this is just speculation rn. We fan implu they were jf-17s but they don’t necessarily have to be blk 3s either

Yes, I think its about time we start working towards a strong position throughout middle East, America or Israel they may have financial stakes in middle east but for us its much much more than that, Mecca/Medina is there for God sake, we can't have or Trust Israel Air force flying over KSA freely specially give how crazy these Israeli lunatics are. PAF should not only take command of a small/Medium size base in KSA but also once we have enough resources and I hope we do, we should also put similar package in Qatar and Kuwait, or at least try to get there. With KSA's help, Qatar and Kuwait they are richie rich so money won't be a issue as long as they know that there is a military force station in their countries which won't let any certain country's fighter bomb them in broad daylight like Israel did in Doha.

Yes, I think with the manpower we have and massive additional funding we can, to a certain extent, replace the US military presence in Saudi and Qatar
 
PAF assets being deployed in eastern SA is a good move it will contribute towards not only SA security but also enhance Pak security and preemptively gives it eyes on the approaches towards western Pak, given that Pak may be in crosshairs of its other enemy..

SA needs to stop IDAF flying over its territory to bomb Iran or any other country…

There were no explicit garuntees of support much like seato and because its primary mechanism was protecting members from soviet aggresion they were unwilling to fight a nuetral state like india. Besides we never engaged in any defensive wars with india at the time, in 1965 op gibraltar was conducted prior to indian invasion and western allies expressly blamed Pakistan for starting the war and in 1971 we launched pre emptive strikes
