Actually I think it's a good question, based on your commentsWhat a shameful response.
Yeah fair point, sorry if my previous responses seemed insensitive. It is really totally non-sense to even bring up Pakistan 'betraying' Iran. There would be riots in Pakistan, even a civil war, if Pakistan done so. Iranians know that and that's why, to the best of my knowledge, the Iranian officials have not said one word against Pakistani govt or the people in last 40+ days. And Iranians are in Pakistan in the Islamabad Talks right now and it looks like more Iranians are coming to Pakistan to be part of the ongoing Talks.
But I can understand if some Iranians are nervous: Their country is was badly hurt in this war and so emotions, even paranoia, is high. We need to make an allowance for that.
Would you say the same if the situation were reversed? Iran sending millitary forces to a country that has been directly involved in bombing your civilians?I would say it's called statecraft and is part of geopolitics. Pakistan isn't engaged in hostile actions against Iran, presently, in the past and nor in the future.
They can unblock it but what costs it won’t be easy and lives will be lost but they can but if it was that easy of a cake walk as Trump pretends to be in his posts they would have done it already honestly I’m thinking they are trying to locate as much of their coastal defenses and attack preemptively again but 10 times harder than they have before to blunt Irans response doesn’t mean they will succeed totally but they will try will see what happensNah… no matter what happens in these peace negotiations , the US has lost, badly. Either Iran ends up stronger (charging tolls for example) or US intervenes militarily with boots on the ground and makes Afghanistan look like a win... There is no way to unblock that Strait in an era of drone warfare and Iran knows this.
Military officers with such high ranks wouldn't have been flying on air. Babak Taghvaee is full of hot air.
Inaccurate analogy, though I do take your general point.Would you say the same if the situation were reversed? Iran sending millitary forces to a country that has been directly involved in bombing your civilians?
So you actually want a form of fealty or self harming deference.Would you say the same if the situation were reversed? Iran sending millitary forces to a country that has been directly involved in bombing your civilians?
Pakistan is getting played to get time to get their forces ready for a larger round of attacks Saudis are more than willing to use Pakistan to do that it’s not a dig on Pakistan so don’t get offended just saying I don’t trust Saudis trump or Bibi to be playing the peacemakers they want Iran in a ball of fire and Bibi has said they’re not done not by a mile so if I have to believe he will attack Iran again sooner than later ceasefire or peace or anything in between and trump will be there with him if not in the beginning maybe in the middle or the endHow exactly is Pakistan getting played, they only have an active role in facilitation, not enforcement.
Look where things were one week ago, it was an apocalyptic spiral and now the same people are talking face to face
In the real world, you may or may not be aware, but face to face meetings in the context of disagreement demonstrate at least the ability to open a theoretical channel for resolution.
Yes that talks may not result in anything and there are plenty of spoilers around in the world.
If let's say in 3 months time you need other facilitators, wonder who else Iran would trust.
You will have to explain that hypothetical more, as Saudi has not directly bombed Iran.Would you say the same if the situation were reversed? Iran sending millitary forces to a country that has been directly involved in bombing your civilians?
