US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

The US is stacking Ws left and right:

- Blockade is on with total control of the Strait of Hormuz
- Brent crude is $94 despite the war and blockade
- Stocks are back to prewar highs
- PPI/CPI inflation soft
- Record high energy exports
- The US now has total control of the Venezuelan oil industry
- Defense partnership with Indonesia to gain control over the Strait of Malacca

No ships have made it past the blockade, and 6 merchant vessels complied with US forces to turn around and reenter an Iranian port.

Wrong.

A Chinese tanker went through.

30 day waiver will not be renewed, so stranded Iranian oil at sea can’t be sold

INCORRECT - Iranian oil was being sold before the war started. Clients may ask for a discount now as they were before the war started, but given the shortage worldwide the advantage rests with Iran.

I guess it seems the blockade cause and effect is getting Iran to talk again. It also seems Orangeman is keeping the 2week ceasefire and won't be any shooting until the 2weeks is over.

Iran is facing terminal economic collapse if this blockade extends into weeks and permanent damage to its oil wells. The US controls the Strait now. There is zero advantage here for Iran. Even if Iran were to earn revenue off stranded oil, they can’t import what they do buy.

Iran has lost. They played their strongest card and it backfired big time.

F-22Raptor you have unique insights not shared by anyone else in the world. I think you owe the world these insights. Do you write for the New York Times? Aviation Week? Proceedings? If not I would encourage you to offer your services to these publications.

It is still too early to say anything about who has won or lost.

It’s Irans choice. Terminal economic collapse or concede to US demands. They no longer control the Strait and don’t have the leverage.

They played their strongest card and it backfired. They lost control of the Strait, Brent crude is under $100, US energy exports are at all time highs, and stocks are higher now than prewar.

Iran knows how to live with sanctions, they have been living with them since 1980s, the world is under 4weeks of Iranian sanctions and the world is going into meltdown it seems…

Iran is winning strategically.
