Vietnam Defense and News forum

In Vietnam we rely on imports of kerosene. Without kerosene, that’s about weeks away before we run dry, we will ground all aircraft. Worthless discussion what’s better: taking a flight or rail?
You need to stop talking about stuff you are not aware of. Dung Quat refinery has been producing kerosene for sports. Based on your logic the world would not import Boeing or Airbus since the parts need to be imported. Your HSR is a dead horse and any effort to resuscitate this dead horse is a futile effort.

My HSR? Why you are so aggressive?
I talking of kerosene for aircraft, e.i. jet fuel. We rely on high percentage of imports. That’s a fact.

Yes of course
That will enable Comac to produce more aircraft. The company has difficulty to make aircraft due to different reasons. And one is US sanctions.
I did say that months or years ago.
From the visit of To Lam and other Vietnamese companies to China, it appears to me that in addition to acquiring more aircraft from Comac and opening more flights to China, a production line in Vietnam is under discussion.
Viet Jet is a shitty airline by default and now they are leasing comac that means their airline is set for bankruptcy due to no customers who want to risk their life riding those flying coffin. The route from HCMC to Con Dao that they operated with comac got canceled because they couldn't find any customers who wanted to risk their life on those comac. Since you are promoting comac, are you and your family willing to risk your life flying one of those?

Read about Dung Quat refinery capabilities please. They produce kerosene for jet fuel

Why you are angry on HSR, Vietjet?
Comac uses critical western parts in the plane, it is certified. It is safer when I did fly on Indonesia airlines, Malaysia airlines, Vietnam propeller aircraft. I don’t promote anything.

Yes I did check it. This refinery makes jet fuels. But as I said we rely on import. Up to 70 percent on jet fuel imports.
You have a problem. Plz stop your aggressive tone if people don’t agree to your opinions. This is a discussion forum. Be relax.

Good. Continue to fly comac. Less competition for Vietnam Airlines tickets for people like us.

Someone doesn't agree with your opinions doesn't mean the person is angry or aggressive. I hold no personal stakes in any of these topic of concerns.

If you fly or don’t fly that’s your choice. Vietnam aviation authority has approved China made aircraft since 1 year now. I am neutral in this topic, I just assess it from technical view.

Do you ever see any Vietnamese top politburo leadership fly in any comac jets? Do you see those Vietnamese aviation authority members who use comac as their mode of transport? That's what the sentiment of ordinary Viet folks like us think. Do you see Xi Jinping and his closed inner circle use Comac as their primary mode of air transportation? NO, they are using folks like you and your families as guinea pig to test the safety of their jet. No sane Vietnamese would ever fly in comac and I hope you won't ever be a statistics.

you look at a photo with too much biased.
Do you know the difference between a bicycle and a car or airplane?
Nothing
They are just means of transport.
I don’t care of who sits on a car, a peasant, a politician, a manager. As said I look at technology. Nothing else. If Comac or flying potato that is the same for me.
In 6 weeks from now kerosene will run out of Europe people may ride on bicycles. But luckily Europe has HSR, they can sit on trains.

I hope you are not kidding when you compare the safety of a bicycle, car, airplane. An airplane that drops out of the sky is a guarantee dead 100% no but if whatsoever about it. No airline is willing to be a guinea pig and order a jet with no proven record of safety over a long duration of time, that's why only Boing and Airbus is in this game. You mentioned you flew on Malaysian and Indonesian Airlines comac, really?

Don't talk nonsense, Chinese president and PM have their own plane that was specifically designed and set up using Boeing years ago before C919 was ready, C919 is not a large size continental airplane suitable for carrying top Chinese gov leaders. Tens of millions of Chinese have taken C919 and C909 and there are absolutely no safety problems encountered. No Chinese is asking you Vietnamese to buy or ride Chinese planes, just stop bashing Chinese products as trash.

New self-propelled AA under development
Twin 30 mm gun with AHEAD munition
One 7.62 mm machine gun
8 VSHORAD missiles
AESA search radar and Ku-band fire control
Electro-Optical Targeting System
Smoke grenade launcher and Laser Warning Receiver
The system will be based on the XCB IFV chassis.

The war in Iran has taught us that this type of system is highly survivable, can operate independently, and engage air threats under passive mode when needed.
