Pakistan always supported Arabs against Israel, today Israel is supporting India against Pakistan. The bigger question is will the Arabs support Pakistan against India and when have they ever supported us. By the way Pakistan only role (backed by China) is to bring Usa Iran on negotiating table and get a deal done, which doesnt look likely. The ceasefire will end on 22 April so not long left. We also negotiated between GCC and Iran to make sure GCC Iran war doesnt start. This doesnt make Pakistan anti Israel, we just want the war to stop.

Yesterday saw a report that the Iranians have given away the map of the mines in Strait of Hormuz as part of the ongoing negotiations. Not sure if true or not.

I doubt it, Iranians are not that Stupid. Without securing a lasting peace, they will not give away their hold and Trump card on SoH. And Trumps stupid Social media posts is not helping the situation and making Iranians more suspicious.

Pakistan is not in the Middle East but unfortunately close enough. Remember what Canada's Mark Carney said: Either at the table, or on the menu. He was absolutely right in this new World Order of the Law of the Jungle. Pakistan's only real enemy is India and that's a huge threat. Never underestimate that! But Pakistan must and actually does put some checks on Israel to not get too much in bed with India. The recent deployment of Pakistani jets and 13,000 troops in Saudi Arabia is at least partly a message to Israel from Pakistan.
So, no, as much I wished Pakistan stays out, it just can't. Geography dictates Pakistan's involvement in the Middle Eastern affairs.

Only if Iranians want to continue the war. What is the use of negotiating with the Twitter team if IRGC ignores them? This cease-fire is meant to explore if the war can be ended. If it ends without any agreement, war can restart anytime. It is increasingly appearing that way.

I think Mr Trump was taking liberties with the ceasefire, imposing a blockade which was clearly a violation. Even when Iranians gave him an off ramp by saying the Strait was open to commercial traffic during the ceasefire , he mistook it for weakness and doubled down on his blockade and even began talking about boarding Iranian ships.

Hence the response by the Iranians to fire some shots at ships and close the Strait again. Trump and the US need to he reminded from time to time that the other side also has cards to play and that it's best not to resume hostilities.

The world has discovered in this conflict that economic and political damage is the American Achilles heel.

How will 13000 troops and let's say 50 jets stop Israeli attack on Saudi Arabia?. Israeli attack on Iran was supported by Usa, if the same happens in Saudis will we fight against Usa too?. Saudis are part of Usa Israeli led axis, people should accept this, they only have their own interests and AlSaud wants gurantees to protect Al Saud family from being toppled.

Vance has to go; no one likes or trusts the two Israeli agents (Kushner and Witkoff). Also, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Trump himself shows up on Wed or Thurs to sign if there is a final deal. The extraordinary security arrangements in Islamabad hint toward that.

You are much more optimistic than me on a deal. I don’t feel like Trump has budged from his maximalist stance. I think the war resumes unless the Iranian side is maybe ready to capitulate somewhat. Which certainly could happen.

I'd say 13,000 troops and 50 jets deployed by Pakistan are better than nothing. And you are mistaken to think that America, even under President Trump, would absolutely, totally support Israel every time, every way. They are two different countries after all and after all America is a democracy where the ruling party has to answer to its electorate or otherwise...
