You don't need any special integration for 'plug-and-play' systems. A tablet like interface can be used to feed coordinates to the missile from the aircraft. It's likely Taimoor follows a similar approach since it's the simplest and most straight forward way nowadays.

It's also interesting that they didn't show the launch platform which again points towards P-3 imo.

yeah but this wont be the case here, youd want midcourse guidance because ships arent a static target, they can easily wander out of seeker range/gimbal limits

Yes possibly, but would mean some unauthorised mods on the P-3C. Very possible we did that but would be a breach of terms

I don't think this was launched by any naval aircraft, most likely Mirage. I had mentioned after the initial test of Taimoor that it could be deployed in an anti ship role given it's multi seeker options and range. I don't see this being integrated on the Sea Sultans, but most likely on JF17s and possibly J10Cs.

This was a static target so it's possible they plan to tackle that problem later on through deep integration on Sea Sultans. Otherwise you are right it can only be Mirages. But even then, the radar on the Mirages is quite limited in terms of range for surface detection so you'd require updates from MPA or AEW relayed to the Mirages, which i am not sure if our mirages are even capable of such networking.

So what if this was launched by the mirages?? PN is going to use them with the Sea sultans when they come and maybe the things learned from the usage of these , PN may go forward with the next gen version Rasoob?? who knows , all in all this is a very good achievement in my view.

Pak knows the mirages well, which is why they're used for these tests , they can do whatever and the taimoor series is already certified for launch there. Means nothing, the idea here is to validate the missile parameters and performance, the launcher is irrelevant here imo

yeah, theres 3 versions

Ra'ad which i dont think carries a seeker- purely nuclear, mix of DSMAC/TERCOM etc

Taimoor IIR- IIR seeker, i feel for these mass produced variants they're probably ditching the expensive dsmac/tercom kit, designed for the air force.

i do also vaguely remember a taimoor non IIR which is probably an air force weapon again, maybe an ARH seeker? No idea, i dont remember. But i think the IIR version probably makes alot more sense for the air force, most of the modern ALCM's are IIR based for target recog
