Pakistan Navy Tests Taimoor Cruise Missile

So we tested 2 missiles in one week, both for navy. Both "ER" versions. But range of both ER version missiles not announced.
@Ak01
A weapons range is a closely guarded secret, if Indians knew the real range of PL15, would they send their Rafales in the kill range of our missiles?

No one talked about the final approach and and how close to surface it hit the target. While SMASH hits from top in a near vertical dive, this one hit very close to sea surface. a combination attack from multiple sides would pretty much stress out the CWIS defences

no, my bad, it is taimoor AS on the side, not ER.

Smash was not ER, just a different trajectory, jamd spoke about it

nothing to substantiate this
Just wait, and you will see it yourself.

Welcome Wagon for Vikrant should it feel daring enough to enter our waters anytime

India's two carriers are a major liability. Since induction none of them have played any signficant role in any operations or even strayed that far from India's coastline.

Old planes with massive servicability issues, no modern anti-missile defences on them, ancient designs.

Utter waste of money and sailors operating a big ship that gives such little capability in return

They are useless against all except the most weak and unarmed opponent

The time of the carrier is almost over, they are still useful as a moving platform for aircraft but very very vulnerable

A 3-fighter jet equipped with three of these, even if Vikrant is placed close to Kochi, can be taken out by them in a stealth and daring operation.

The main threat will never be the sole old guy vikrant . It for now has old Mig29s which
were in leaked docs said to have problems with its radar and avionics , it cannot carry the Brahmos A , doesnt have a good BVR and is using old russian missiles.and it has the Barak 1 for point defence which we know is shit because When hezbolla fired a cm802 on an israeli vessel , it failed to intercept it (tho zios denied claims of hitting but accepted it hit something in the sea)
The main threat will be its CBG , which will have a kalvari class sub or the older kilo , Vishakhapatnam class destroyers or shivalik/nilgiri class frigates..

@Ak01 The internal bomb bay of the sea sultans are probably designed for the torpedos (same in p8) and the wings will be sued for missiles...but still wouldnt in theory it give us a Heavy lift bomber capability ?

yea, they will have had to have been
Isn't it bit risky considering these planes have large RCS and are slow and could come under attack by IN Rafales/Mig29K or ships' ADs if they get closer

no, the bomb bay was said to have been a rotary one, like the one on the b one 1776849887118.png

yeah technically we've now got a bomber

the key is to be able to operate at standoff ranges. Without dsmac etc, we could probably see extra fuel and push the missile ranges even further. I think they'd be fine, the Indians have far bigger worries if they're sending mig 29s in, they're dead men walking

Great if it comes in the sea sultans and not relegated due to budget cuts , wese its like our own RBS 15 lol , now i just wanna see it be used from a jeff

The only potential capability they bring to the table is their Ka-31 AEW helos may be able to give them advanced early warning about sea skimmers but thats about it

Weve had heavy bomber capabilities since p3. Its why they were used so effectively for bombing swat valley in wot and why they were targeted by taliban in turn. Sea sultan is just an improved version
