But the problem is we will never get any advanced technology from Ccp, and realistically not from the Japanese and Koreans, either. So I think, at the end we will resort to dirty tricks to get them.

Because CPC knows that CPV is its little brother who loves to mimic everything about its big brother.

Basically, CPV shares the same belief as CPC, who wants its nation to become strong and independent by mixing the communist/socialist model with nationalism and free market.

If CPV becomes a small CPC, then it might directly challenge CPC's dominance in ASEAN.

Since the ASEAN nations won't practise the CPC model, only the CPV would, and therefore CPV has way more potential than any ASEAN nation, maybe even more than India in the long run.

CPC can transfer the better technologies than Japan/South Korea with better price, but they might require more loyalty from the little brother.

That will not happen anytime soon.

China imposes arms embargo on Vietnam since the Ming, still in place if I am not mistaken. Out of fear Vietnam can make Southeast Asia to colonies.
There are some scenarios like the invasion of China by the French and the Japanese invasion of China in WW2 in the past, when Vietnam and allies supplied China with weapons and foods. And vice versa during French and US invasion of Vietnam when China supplied military supplies.

unless there is a global war on the horizon that possibility Ccp gives Vietnam any advance weapon tech is slim. But who knows maybe Xi Jinping has a good heart.

Highspeed rail tracks made Vietnamese company Hoa Phat steel
A new factory making this special steel is under construction since December 2025.
Test run is expected in Q3, 2026 under supervision of SMS group (Germany).
First rail tracks will be churned out Q2, 2027.
Making HSR rail tracks is not easy. The special steel requires extreme strength and purity. Only few countries in the world can make it.
China, Japan, Germany, France, Spain

Hoa Phat Steel can make 700,000 tons steel rails year.
That equals 5,000-6,000 km HSR double track.
Just one year production covers Vietnam’s total length HSR multiple times.
What the company will do with excess capacity?
Export?
Probably like in China, multiple parallel double tracks all over the place in Vietnam will be built.

That’s funny.

Vietnam right now is not under the direct military threat from the US.

If so, China will do again like in the 1960-1970s.

No, not direct threat yet, but nobody is certain in the future with the psycho. Better to be prepared just in case.
Here in Germany the gov goes into overdrive. Military spending as if there is no tomorrow, all men can be eventually called into the arny or reserve.

Congrats to
the most powerful rank in the US Navy
He may turn the MAGA focus from the mess in Middle East to the Pacific.

Why you are so excited? The US navy belongs to the white Americans, not to the Vietnamese.

And this guy is merely a housekeeper to the white Americans.

Have you seen the Chinese members here take pride about Jensen Huang and Nvidia?

Even Jensen Huang is a full blooded Chinese who is the biggest contributor to Nvidia, but he is still working on behalf of the white Americans, nothing prideful for China.

China is striving to complete its EUV to fully bulldoze ASML/TSMC/Nvidia altogether.

BTW, Hung Cao just like many Asian-Americans who has suffered with the zeal of the convert as he might be more keen to zealously provoke China even more than his white American masters.

If the USN is getting completely wrecked at his hand, a yellow man like him will be easily a scapegoat for the white Americans.

I just try to predict the future. I am neutral in this mess, not pro, not con. Similar to as I said Vietnam gov probably wants to joint local produce Comac aircraft. The Vietjet’s order of 10 Comac C909 is a bait.
Personally I think it makes sense we produce C909 and C919 for domestic island hopping and for international route to China.
