I am of the view that despite the current noise, the UAE and Pakistan’s relations will warm up again.Sorry, I don't buy your nonchalant "Pakistan’s leadership failed to address these issues, due to personal (leadership investments in UAE)". The country does not run on the whims of certain individual's investments in a country or two.
This is yet again a common conspiracy that Pakistanis have conjured up. It may be a consideration for some, but not the deciding factor at the bi-lateral relations level.
The simple reason is that we need to find a solution to relocate our labor in the UAE and ensure the remittances are not impacted if the UAE continues to pressure Pakistan. This is what ties Pakistan to the UAE. What does someone's personal investment in the UAE have to do with Govt-Govt dealing?
There is too much at stake for either side to go full retard. Pakistan has too much at stake and the same goes for UAE.
I’ve mentioned in another thread that we’ve designed our system in such a way that we treat Pakistanis as remittance extracting machines, hence this problem will keep happening. The best of what one can make of the current situation is to probably diversify. But if you want to achieve the dream of an economic powerhouse, you’d have to recalibrate the situation domestically.
