I don't know man,it feels like the forum changed

I don't know about Greece Turkey or moderator issues in particular but quality has gone down.

This forum used to be more nerdy. People who actually want to talk about the weapons, systems and tactics. Anecdotes from people who served. Informative posts basically. Typical defense forum stuff

But just like our actual military ham bhi zayada siyaasi hogaye hay 🤔. You can get thread locked not necessarily for breaking forum rules but for just saying something a moderator didn't like. It is usually followed by "this guy is an Indian for sure" statements from said moderator.



A lot of people seemed to lose heart after Imran Khan got removed.

I sat down to translate and post photos about the Greek Tank Trials of the '90s,that was supposed to be a seperate thread for the information value and historical and technical data and it disappeared,merged to the European military thread.
  • I've noticed a kind of tendecy the last year,MMM-E is allowed to go rampant on provocative posts,his usual nationalist,superiority complex rants and to go on with endless post spamming of literally the same things,the exact same things. The same lists,the same photos,the same quotes,the same boasting. And when I engage him,I'm the one who gets infractions and posts deleted(not always,but most of the time). Nobody puts that guy back in his place. He used to get banned a lot,sometimes for a week,sometimes for a month. Now it's ok,he can just spam the same nonsense. They tell me to report,I report,then they tell the report button isn't a toy or whatever.
  • You got hyperman adding a "lol" every time he comments on something or replies. Like trolling you. Like being OCD "lol look at Greece" and "lol,they are desperate","lol relax","lol lol lol. Repeatedly told you to stop that hyperman,as it comes across as you being a dick and is disrespectful. Meanwhile hyperman is the guy who will derail a thread to pieces and a few pages later will warn you to stop derailing the thread.
  • Then comes something I've figured out a long time ago about PDF,it's interesting and also kind of sad or disappointing(for me at least): Pakistanis are always extremely reluctant to take a clear stance in threads concerning Greece-Turkey or Greece-Cyprus. Apart from the random ertugrul fan who might jump to say something like "cyprus should belong to turkey becos muslims",I've noticed Pakistanis,even the ones I get along with very very well,are extremely reluctant to comment or even press a like in something that could be considered a "pro-Greek" argument. I mean,you can see a dozen guys reading the thread,nobody will dare go against any Turkish position,I guess as not to offend their "brothers". Of course if one simply does not agree then shouldn't,I'm only saying I've seen Turks agree with me more against other Turks than Pakistanis themselves arguing with any Turks.
  • No PM function. Why does the forum still not have a PM function?
  • Having certain people not being able to make up their minds if I'm a zio-zio or not. I'm tired of having to go through the same vile accusations and bullshit every time I pose an even mildly "what if arabs/muslims/palestinians/iranians/aliens did something nasty to the yahood as well" question. There's always a few people who will jump and say "you lying zio secret fake greek genocide supporter masks have fallen we know your kind" etc etc

Anyway,just some thoughts I wanted to get out.

Are you actually, Greek? I had the impression you were a mod or some such adopting a Greek identity just to spark discussion. I spend a fair bit of time in Greece and have some good friends there. I've never known Greeks to be cartoonishly Zionist. Most do not support Israel. Your heated insistence on Turkey-Greece rivalry and Israel etc seems quite made up to me. I appreciate the rivalry runs deep, but it's always nuanced. There is also a shared history. Not unlike Pakistan and India. In our case Islamism and Hindu fascism made the debate silly and destructive. In your case Cyprus continues to be an open sore but interactions between Turks and Greeks are always civilised even if there is underlying tension. Again, not unlike interactions between Pakistanis and Indians.

Anyway, my apologies if you're actually Greek. But your posts don't give me that impression.
 
I wanted to say that but I felt like it had something to do with the older site shutting down for reasons unknown and mods being extra careful now so I didn't say anything
Cause it was quite chill when I first joined compared to now
But on the other hand I feel like all the chill guys are turning into grumpy middle aged men with ego talking to the sky's
But IK that in a couple years I might be acting the same way as that is life
Can't complain much

There's definitely a vibe change but would I make a scene about it?
Probably not as it's explainable imo

I have similar concerns … but treat this forum like state of Pakistan you will get it how to navigate through… lolz…
 
@Foinikas I appreciate your Greek perspectives. It's important to know how others view an issue. I suggest you just take a break bro and come back refreshed :)

Yes,I'm Greek. Oh yeah,I forgot to mention,I got like thread locked in to of the Turkish threads,one was the "turkiye hyperwar" one. I mean,there's MMM-E on the forum. He comes every time posting provocative bull,I get to reply,he keeps replying,i reply to him again,he keeps being his usual self,if I troll his utter nonsense or be sarcastic at his provocative comments....I get thread locked. The **** am I gonna do with that? Where's the spice in life if a man cannot commenteth on his opponents' threads? Imagine a world without Pak and Indians interacting. Empty!

Maybe you need a Greek Chill Thread, where you can moderate Greek news and updates, ban whoever you want, talk and debate with yourself since your the only Greek here 🤣

But seriously you should stay, its always good to have a different opinion and this is online forum, it has different people with different view points, its difficult to find a balance, even the Pakistani members have a big kick off, last time some Iranian member debated me and then went all victim and claimed he is a guest on here (since i am Pakistani) but even i am a guest on here. The Admin have made mods from different nations but its difficult to balance everything, to get rid of trolls etc, since everyone believes their view points are correct, if you speak against or criticse a nation the members get offended and report you, but the international mods do try to be neutral even if they dont like anything. A few times the Admin twisted my word and then made it out I was wrong and then closed the thread without allowing me to reply to explain but I just moved on. Overall i think its a difficult job to keep the balance on the forum but its 100% better than other social media platforms. I come on here to get genuine information, not fake propaganda like on other forums.
