The whole thing is very suspect tho. Is the shooter using a shotgun to shoot outside the ballroom? And he gets that gun in the perimeter and fires off 4 or 5 shots before getting "arrested."
First of all, you have to be the stupidest assassin to try to shoot someone outside the ballroom. If you can get in the perimeter with a shotgun, you can get in there or wait for Trump to come out for you to shoot him.
And then the SS didn't shoot the guy? And they just let him shoot outside 4 or 5 times? And then they evacuated Trump while the "imminent threat" was gone?
I am sorry but the whole thing sound suss as F. If I am letting rounds off outside the President, I am going to get shot, they are not going to just arrest me, it isn't firecracker I am letting it out, yes, stupid as it is to try to shoot outside the building, you don't know if you are SS that it is the only threat, I wouldn't arrest the guy, I will shoot the guy if I am a duty SS agent, because unless I know for sure, that's only 1 dumbass doing this, I am going to eliminate him and scan for other threats.
And Trump was sitting inside, like, as he said, "dishes come down." Dude, the first shot would have triggered SS response, you won't stay there for 4 or 5 shots + some waiting time before slowly being evac'ed........

dude, SS doesn't do take down, especially with guns involved, whether or not the gunman shoots, you eliminate the threat,t then move on, because you don't know if that is the only threat.
And the response time looks really suspect, either the SS is not about to protect him, or they know this is not a threat, you don't retrieve someone after 4 or 5 shots being fired, regardless of who fired those shots. And then slowly evacuate him, I mean, how do you know he is the only one carrying?
In fact, I can do you one better; it was a uniform officer, not a Close Protection Detail, that first responded. Those CPD would have jumped on him when they heard the gunshot, not some uniform SS member.
Dude, I have worked close protection for many, many years, and I have never seen a protection detail do something like that.

The security was minimal and building insecure and the Hilton has been the scene of an assassination attempt with Regan.
