My prediction, we get 1 example of a J-35 for testing purposes before December 31, 2027.

these posts, about predicting the induction date from respected members (no offence)

someone insisting on sticking to the thread-related posts. must be happy since people are sticking to the thread-relevant posts.

now that is funny ...

i sometimes doubt, why people are given responsibilities that are not what they are for.

Mods must consider revising the duties assigned based on their professionally compromised habits.

focusing excessively on minor, insignificant details rather than the overall picture is often driven/disguised by perfectionism, a fear of failure, or a desire for control. an overly critical feedback can damage motivation, self-esteem, and trust.

that is what i know ...

we are so down with the forum. kicked out sane people or they shut themselves down, pitying the precarious situation.

IMO highly unlikely. So far only for LRIP J-35A are known in PLAAF service and even if I expect more to be delivered already (@Michael knows surely more) I cannot think they already reached IOC yet. However it depends on what the PLAAF refers to as IOC.

Imo PAF will order first batch after j-35 reaches IOC and enters active squadron service. I predict this will happen by mid 2027 to early 2028 with PAF heavily involved in observing this process and that it will take 2-3 years afterwards for deliveries of own aircraft. This is why i believe we wont see any aircraft before 2030 and likely with delays for whatever reason not before 2031

Actually, the issue of money can be solved. Saudi Arabia and Qatar usually provide partial funding, Pakistan can obtain partial funding by selling JF-17, and China will also provide low interest loans. The real question is whether it conflicts with the strategic intentions of China and Pakistan. I still doubt the necessity of Pakistan deploying 5G fighter jets before India.

Not just India we have to worry about now. Very recently PAF J-10Cs were flying over Iran and could have met IDF F-35s...

I’ve been extremely busy these past couple of days and haven't had any time to browse the forums.

In the terminology associated with China's weapon development process, terms such as LRIP or IOC simply do not exist. The entire process differs significantly from those of the United States and other Western nations.

I am unsure how to translate this accurately. I can only describe it using a mix of Chinese terminology; you will have to figure out how to interpret and make sense of it yourself.

The J-35 series of fighter jets—encompassing both the Air Force and Naval variants—is currently in the military's "领先试用" phase. As of now, their progress has not yet reached the "生产定型" stage. ------ Translation software translates this word inaccurately.

We can not be short sighted and only look east. The security architecture on the west side has changed dramatically, I would argue those J35s should be a priority.

You and some other Chinese posters are trying to portray china as new USA. ... As if china has taken over the responsibility of balancing the power structure of region and the world at large....No , china is not going to make the decision whether PAF needs J 35 or not...PAF will decide that and china will go along and provide soft loans ...and yes , you are right about the chances of Saudi Arabia making some financial contributions.

China being the sole supplier of 5th gen tech to Pakistan can clearly dictate the terms.

Firstly, China is a foreign trading country, and trade requires peace and stability. The United States is a domestic demand country, and war is the biggest domestic demand. Now China needs regional stability and balance more, while the United States needs chaos and war more.

Secondly, if Pakistan and India are caught in a large-scale war of attrition, such as the Ukraine War. So China will inevitably fall into a war of attrition, like the European Union. Even worse, China's supply lines are located on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.

Thirdly, maintaining peace and stability in South Asia is in line with the interests of all South Asian countries such as China, Pakistan, and India. Chaos and war only serve the interests of the United States.
