PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

Can you explain why this is export variant or likely, maybe it says but I can not read the language.
1. The "AVIC" logo located on the nose section (beneath the cockpit canopy). PLA-service variants do not feature these markings.
2. Warning labels printed on the white "V-shaped" stripes adjacent to the air intakes. The export variant features English text, while the PLA variant features Chinese text.
These constitute the typical distinguishing characteristics.
Who knows when this video was shot 😜
I do not know when these videos were originally filmed.

Yesterday was International Workers' Day. CCTV produced a special video specifically for the occasion.
The video is now available on their official website; however, I am not sure whether users outside of China will be able to access it normally.

In accordance with AVIC's standard practice, this aircraft is primarily intended for public display and evaluation by international clients. In the future, it is likely to appear at major airshows around the world. Naturally, it will also be made available to prospective customers for close-range inspection and flight demonstration experiences.

Given that the version of the fighter jet operated by the PLA incorporates numerous sensitive and classified technologies, it is not suitable for direct presentation to international clients. Consequently, AVIC typically manufactures a dedicated export-oriented demonstration variant specifically for this purpose. The J-10CE and JF-17B aircraft we have previously observed bearing the "AVIC" logo are both examples of such specialized variants.

It is worth clarifying that the unveiling of this aircraft signals the official commencement of the export campaign for the FC-31/J-35 platform. However, this development does not necessarily imply a direct or intrinsic link to ongoing efforts involving the PAF.

This is just for fun.
March 2027. Most likely next serial numbers 0002 and onwards are designated for PAF then this means that pilot training will only start after the production of atleast 4-6 jets and the training programme will take few months as well so most likely the incoming date is 23rd March, 2027.

@Deino told you J-35 is coming to Pakistan in 2026.
Sidhu got the extension on this basis. I think we will see the first J-35 inducted under his watch as ACM.

But I digress. The airframe we saw is likely AVIC's own model. Probably built for airshows and demonstrations. Maybe even a testbed

Someone once said ( I guess @JamD ? or @Ak01 ) if PAF starts constructing climate control hangars and that construction appears on satellite images, then consider J-35 arrival in Pakistan.

"On May 21 this year, Pakistan and China will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their formal diplomatic relations"

Anyone thinking what I am think?

People are blowing this news out of the water. I dont think we’re getting any new info on j-35 procurement beyond speculation this year let alone some sort of deliveries

these are just basic semi hardened/thin shelters to house the c130 and other large aircrafts which were used to be in the open before , i think the c130 getting caught in a fire was due to this too.
When ever PAF will build new HAS for the J35s it will deffo be like the ones you see the zios make .
PAF will also from then on start to get the AD better as those HAS will be the prime targets.

Speculation is what this thread is about, we simply do not know

I suspect we may not be able to see them from basic commercial sats if PAF do a good job. Could very well blend into the landscape like the below

I too firmly believe that Sidhu wants the J-35AE induction on his watch, as part of his "legacy" and bragging rights in retirement.

I do think PAF will get the J-35A sooner than most people think, but slower than most people want it. :)

Imagine, we may actually be months away from Pakistan being the only Muslim country with nukes and the only muslim country with Stealth....
