PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

I too firmly believe that Sidhu wants the J-35AE induction on his watch, as part of his "legacy" and bragging rights in retirement.

I do think PAF will get the J-35A sooner than most people think, but slower than most people want it. :)

Because of Indias dopey planning, Pakistan has time

Like the J10, we may induct some J35 over the next couple of years, then get our pilots ready, make plans and strategies, understand what equipment we need to fully utilise the platform etc

And only when they Indians take steps, will be really expand the fleet

I also increasingly think we won't get any more J10s

Our fleet of F16s, J10s and JF17s is deemed sufficient and in future this area will be covered by more JF17s block 4 or PFX or whatever you want to call it which WONT be a radical 5th gen change but just more development of the existing platform

With maybe some additional special reason inductions like KAAN

J35A first aircraft from the factory will probably be used for exhibition and as a testing platform.

After production, there are several milestones that need to be achieved prior to handover.

2 squadrons will probably take several quarters to produce, another several quarter to perform integration tests and then ready for handover. Early 2027 seems like a realistic timeline.

I still see several more J10 squadrons inducted into PAF.

In several years, J35s, J10s, F16s, JF17s would be the mainstays of PAF inventory.

Inshallah

It was unthinkable

so can we say KJ500 and HQ-19 ?

Let’s wait and see

I suspect we may not be able to see them from basic commercial sats if PAF do a good job. Could very well blend into the landscape like the below

Tbh , concealment of HAS isnt much practical nowadays as the accuracy of the missiles and the number of sats capturing you from abv has substantially increased , theY provide some "privacy" but not much , IAF(zios) have thier f35 HAS as big and bulky as possible.

I dont count that as stealth, dont think anyone really does...
People underestimate the felon too much. So much talk of exposed rivets and rcs translates into just ridiculous cope of it not being a proper 5th gen. Its behind in many ways but calling it non-stealth is just in poor tatse
