I don't understand that tweeter. The US already gets all the passenger and plane data from Pakistani airports. Rest assured given the weak cybersecurity in Pakistani organizations, any other electronic and telecom data the US wants has been taken out of Pakistan as well.

The airport security checks at Pakistani airports are more rigorous than in Middle East airports, I mean the ASF will literally molest you during the physical body check. Yet despite all this Pakistanis cannot fly directly to the US while all other tom dick and harry countries can.
our own airline is lacking widebody aircrafts in order to add more destinations.
They can barely hold together London, Manchester and Paris.
European network has not been fully restored yet......forget anything to america.
It should've re-stored Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Milan/Barcelona, etc as well, right now its only Paris.

First thing is to get more widebodies for PIA, currently only 6 out of 12 B777 are operational. If we had all of them operational, then it would make sense.

PIA needs the newer A330/A350 or B787s for long-haul operations as the latest offer fuel efficiency compared to the old B777s which are more bigger consumers of jet fuel, specially these days.

A Democrat holding a positive opinion of Pakistan is rare. Did a little bit of AI-based research on his constituency, Texas's 9th congressional district. Around 9–10% of residents are Asians and roughly 32–33% of residents are foreign-born. Wonder what the population size of Pakistanis is in the district. That could have influenced his resolution. On the other hand, he seems not too keen on supporting Israel and the war against Iran in Congress.

I think he may have taken over from Rep Sheila Jackson Lee , an African American congresswoman who had Pakistani American constituents and was head of the Congressional Pakistan caucus back in the Musharraf days. A very nice lady who helped the country with aid in the 2005 earthquake. She passed away in 2024.

Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan handed over to Steve Witkoff as part of Pakistani campaign to curry favor with Trump.

Have you seen Roosevelt hotel ? ...I have seen it and went there few times to visit my friends who were flying for PIA... it's a run down property , more of a liability than an asset...it needs extensive renovation...I am not sure if any deal with Witkoff will be finalised , if it does it will a good thing..... spreading negativity about anything that you are clueless about is not a healthy attitude.

Right now PIA has 21 aircrafts in working order , by the end of the year it will have 70 ...
There's an offer of 120 aircraft , it's not clear if the offer is for lease or sales.. PIA is going to turn around , I have no doubt about it.

The US Department of State announced on Wednesday the phased closure of the US Consulate General Peshawar, transferring responsibility for diplomatic engagement in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) to the US Embassy Islamabad, the US State Department said in a press release.

In the statement, the department said the decision “reflects our commitment to the safety of our diplomatic personnel and efficient resource management”. It added that while the physical presence in Peshawar would end, Washington’s broader priorities in Pakistan would remain unchanged.

The Peshawar consulate employs 18 American diplomats and staff and 89 local personnel. The closure will cost approximately $3 million, with $1.8 million allocated to relocating armored trailers that served as temporary office space.

Remaining funds will cover the transfer of the consulate’s motor pool fleet, electronic and telecommunications equipment, and office furniture to the US Embassy in Islamabad and consulates in Karachi and Lahore.

Due to its proximity to Kabul and the Afghan border, the consulate had been a key facility for overland travel into Afghanistan and for assisting American citizens in northwestern Pakistan, as well as Afghan nationals seeking US support.

The US State Department has announced the phased closure of its consulate in Peshawar, saying it would transfer operations to the embassy in Islamabad, it emerged on Wednesday.

“Responsibility for diplomatic engagement with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will transfer to the US Embassy in Islamabad. This decision reflects our commitment to the safety of our diplomatic personnel and efficient resource management,” it said in a statement.

While our physical presence in Peshawar is changing, the administration’s policy priorities in Pakistan remain steadfast. We will continue to engage meaningfully with the people and officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to foster economic ties, promote regional security, and advance the interests of the American people,” it said.

This is sad news as it's a loss of local jobs. I have been to this Peshawar consulate many times in the past. They had a very small room for dealing with issues of citizens and Visa holders and the remaining facility was devoted to data and intelligence gathering as well activities related to the situation in Afghanistan. After multiple militant attacks in the 90s and 2000s, authorities had blocked off the roads to this consulate for regular traffic. Locals who worked for the consulate for 18 years qualified to immigrate to the US with their families, but that is common for embassy/consulate local employees across Pakistan.

Pakistan's unexpected diplomatic flowering is being noticed and the Zionist York Times is pressed into action to scuttle any potential mining deals in Balochistan.

Zionist York Times continuing its campaign against any sort of investment in Balochistan.

The irony.

Pakistan helps to achieve peace in the middle east but is left to the Afghans and Indians who have caused immense destruction and chaos. From civil unrest, attacking foreign ally workers and infrastructure.

I hope the favour is returned and Pakistanis can also have some peace.
