PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

I think it depends on how big the order is. Russia has spare capacity for su-57 production but isnt fully committing to producing them due to combination of factors such as cost, effects of sanctions on production and su-57 failing to meet russian specifications in its current state. We know that the indians are also not fully satisfied with the aircraft as it currently exists so they will likely demand several modifications and most importantly local production. As such its hard to predict any number but UAC can probably produce 6-12 airframes per year for india just like they are doing for algeria
India's choice will be to buy more Rafales or throw tons of money into KF-21 Boramae, along with asking the US for advance anti-stealth radars and intelligence sharing of Pakistan airbases.

Either this reaction or stay calm and focus on AMCA until it flops.

As for J-35AEs. looks like SS wants to do his own IK-style feat vis-a-vis J-10C done a couple of years earlier....

Call me a war monger or not, but IF PAF can get this fast and induct them fully into our fleet, I for one would want PAF to pre-emptively strike major Indian installations, including missile depots, and if I dare say so, hit their nuclear installations as well before they can induct a platform to tackle J-35. Let's take a leaf out of their fatherland and deal with this filth pre-emptively, because rest assured, they will once they have assets to do so. Considering they are a bigger country with more resources and strategic depth, remaining passive or defensive in nature will hurt us in the future.
This is foolish.

You really think Pakistan would come out unscathed?

If Pakistan hits their nuclear facilities, they'll hit Pakistan's nuclear facilities.

It would be all out war, and you cannot win a war with just air power, Iran just showed you that.

Also, Pakistan would need at least 150 to 200 J-35s to tackle India's entire fleet of fighters at a bare minimum, and thats going to take years to achieve. In the mean time, India would leverage its much larger fleet, and using attrition and diversion tactics, using some fighters as sacrifices, while they launch actual attacks elsewhere.

Fanboyism and reality don't mix.

AFAIK, WS-19 is the power plant that offers greater performance, and WS-21 is an older interim solution based on WS-13. The WS-19 took a while to attain full operational robustness.

The naval J-35s are being powered by the WS-19s.

Disappointing that WS-21 instead of WS-19 is powering the J-35AE.
Long time no see brother, How are you?

How will India respond to Pakistan's J-35A? Like Iran, with more S-400s and BrahMos?
Haven't you heard 'bout the TEJAs mark-something-something?

That jet can take out the F-22, F-35 and J-20.

So don't you worry 'bout 'OUR' neighbor. They have it all sorted out.

Following the long-standing conventions and consistent approach of the Pakistan Air Force, if they intend to procure the J-35A fighter jet, they will definitely opt for the most advanced WS-19 turbofan engine.

Just like what happened before Pakistan introduced the J-10C, many netizens claimed that Pakistan would adopt the Russian-made AL-31F engine. In the end, however, the Pakistan Air Force showed great patience and waited until the WS-10B engine fully matured.

When the J-10C shot down the Rafale with the PL-15 missile, the Pakistan Air Force made up its mind firmly to procure the J-35A fighter jet. They have become fully convinced that Chinese weaponry and military equipment are truly outstanding enough. The Pakistan Air Force believes that they finally have a chance to gain the upper hand against India for a long time to come.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah is absolutely a formidable figure.

That chart seems a bit out of date. Latest information shows max thrust of WS-19 engine is 25000ibs. See the uploaded information released by Avic/Catic during Singapore Airshow 2026, and data of WS19 appeared in the academic papers .
This image is provided by the chief designers of WS-19 and WS-21 during their presentations, and thus has the highest level of authority.

I don't mean get rid of Western aircraft today, just don't bother seeking any further iterations of Western aircraft when the current ones in Pakistan expire.
All of our defense equipment and armament should be of Chinese origin, to ensure uninterrupted supply of spares an dweapons in any future conflict.

Pakistan, our friendly and brotherly country, has achieved decisive air superiority over India. Its first fifth-generation fighter jet, the J-35, has rolled off the production line. Pakistan's order includes 40 aircraft.

Our political leadership orders PAF to show mercy even when the enemy starts it by killing scores of innocent civilians including women and children. If it was left on PAF's only, they woud have wiped the floor with IAF in 2019 for them to never make the mistake again.

Our political leadership does not realise that by showing the mercy, you only delay the inevitable and let the enemy prepare better for it.

Great news if true. No need to be boastful or arrogant. Always be humble, equipment is only a means, (لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ) victory is only from ALLAH.

Who would have thought a country inflicted by five decades of sanctions could make the world's greatest military power seek a ceasefire within a couple of weeks even when their country was not even directly targeted.
