The storage dam are not the main problem. It's the interlinking of the rivers. If interlinking is completed then bombs don't solve the problem. (Now please don't say we will bomb the river, it's just illogical)

I'm not the one who is making these policies, and More than BJP, it's Omar Abdullah (cm of Jammu & Kashmir) who is advocating for dams and interlinking of rivers. (By the way he is one of the most anti BJP person in the country)

Dams are old news, I believe now they are working on river linking project to divert the Indus waters through canals to water scarce areas of Rajasthan.

I don't think bombing works very well on canals.

Canal? India will need to build tunnels to divert them.

It will be prohibitively expensive. Easy to bomb. Cant take much water unlike dams. And Pakistan will go all out for minimum violation of treaty. As all 6 rivers belong to Pakistan by international law.
