Turkish Missile Programs

Ministry of National Defense R&D Center Director Nilüfer Kuzulu:

Work on the YILDIRIMHAN Intercontinental Ballistic Missile began 10 years ago.

We have completed the certification of the missile's fuel, warhead, and liquid fuel engines.

We plan to use a 3-ton warhead. Our range is 6,000 km.

The Gazap thermobaric munition was one we wanted to use in our warheads, so we conducted the tests on it.

Our ministry will announce the test results soon

Turkey did not choose the name “Yıldırım Khan” for this intercontinental ballistic missile in vain.

but rather selected a name that carries a very clear historical and military message.“Yıldırım” means: The Thunderbolt.

and it is the epithet of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I... who was known for his lightning-fast offensive speed in battles... to the point that he became nicknamed: “The Thunderbolt.”

But more importantly... Sultan Yıldırım Bayezid is the very one who crushed the Crusader alliance in the Battle of Nicopolis in 1396...in one of the greatest Ottoman battles against Europe at that time.

And therefore... when Turkey bestows the name “Yıldırım Khan” on a long-range hypersonic missile...it is linking: speed... deterrence... and the Ottoman military legacy.

The message here is psychological and political:Turkey wants to say that its modern military industries are not separate from its history... but rather an extension of it... only this time with hypersonic missiles.

Yeah.... Nukes are coming.. lol

Either Warhead will be provided by friends or maybe in the long term Turkey develops its own, but the ICBM Delivery system is already here.

Which friend will gift someone a nuclear warhead to be used ???

Look at Pakistan-Saudi relations, and even the compulsory duty of every Pakistani Muslim to protect Haramain (not KSA), yet Pakistan haven't "gifted" any nuclear warheads to KSA.

I believe the main goal here is the development of anti-satellite war capabilities (ASAT).

That is going to be really difficult these days because sending sattelites these days is really cheap (in comparison to 3 decades ago). And with improvement im technologies and miniaturization have ensured that a single missile can carry multiple sattelites to orbit all well capable.

Just Pakistan with almost non-existing space program have almost 7+ sattelites in orbit with plans to send 54 more. How can anyone deter that with ASATs ?

There are serious discussion on this missile by serious Turkish defense anaylsts, most of them calling it a hoax.

Nobody cares about useless People so called defense analysts

MSB AR-GE's work on the YILDIRIM ICBM began 10 years ago

-- MSB AR-GE has developed GAZAP thermobaric Bomb for YILDIRIM ICBM warhead

-- MSB AR-GE has developed liquid fuel Engine for YILDIRIMHAN ICBM

-- MSB AR-GE has developed liquid fuels (UDMH and Nitrogen Tetroxide), which were previously unavailable in Türkiye and quite difficult to produce

Well has the need ever come for the delivery of the warhead?

Turkish Mode;
“The Unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) and nitrogen tetroxide-derived liquid fuels used in the YILDIRIMHAN Missile System are being produced domestically by our R&D center using national capabilities.

Thanks to its ability to be stored for long periods, operate at low temperatures, and generate high energy output, this fuel technology provides missile systems with high mobility capability.

Laboratory testing processes for the YILDIRIMHAN Missile System, which has a payload capacity of a 3-ton warhead, have been successfully completed, and work related to field tests is continuing in line with the planned schedule.

Our Ministry will continue with determination to support the development of our defense industry, develop domestic and national systems, and enhance Türkiye’s strategic deterrence capability within the scope of the National Technology Initiative.”

Also, those compounds are Soviet era technology, countries use solid fuel for ICBM.

We fvckin turned into Iranians, discussing about if this frankenstein is the real deal or not.

If this inferiority complex were left to insecure people, Turkiye would still be a country that can't even produce a rifle

ICBMs using this missile fuel such as American MINUTEMAN III , Russian SATAN , SARMAT and Chinese DF-5

Producer countries for Nitrogen Tetroxide (N₂O₄)
USA , Russia , China , India , Turkiye , Japan , France , The UK , Iran , N.Korea , S.Korea , Pakistan , Israel

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Land based ICBMs in the World
USA : MINUTEMAN III
Russia : SATAN , SARMAT , TOPOL-M , YARS
China : DF-5 , DF-31 , DF-41 , DF-61
N.Korea : Hwasong-14 , Hwasong-17 , Hwasong-18 , Hwasong-19
India : Angi-V
Israel : Jericho III

And Turkiye joins the elite club with YILDIRIMHAN ICBM ( 6.000 km )

with MSB AR-GE's thermobaric warhead
Gazap’s thermobaric blast reaches 5,432°F (3,000°C) delivering near-nuclear level destruction without crossing the nuclear threshold

Yes. Read MBS statements from a year ago when he also believed the "2 weeks away" shit. MBS them went on and said "If Iran is allowed to habe a nuclear bomb. Then KSA will be forced to have the same as well".

Pakistan was under alot of pressure between 2023-25 from MBS specially regarding nuclear support for KSA.

Its the Radiator party people, have you noticed?

They think it can't be done and that its a waste.

"Why are you scaring the fish?" "We don't need ICBM".

Also, those compounds are Soviet era technology, countries use solid fuel for ICBM.

Who told you this? That Liquid is old and Solid is new.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both designs. The Russians for example use both Liquid and Solid fuel. For example the new RS-28 Sarmat uses Liquid fuel.

Liquid Fuel has its disadvantages, but also its advantages. Its more fuel efficient in terms of payload capacity and range. But it takes longer time to launch and is more vulnerable to strike if you are launching it from the surface.

Congratulations to Turkey.
And well, that’s going to make NATO much stronger. Europe can be less worried if the US wants to back out of NATO,
