@Toxic if we do end up having air launched hd-1s with full 500-600km range whats the argument for taimoor? Lo? These things are gonna get through indian AD much more easily and have basically the same range as subsonics. There couldve been a cost or availability argument but theyre gonna make these here under ToT or alternatively have option buy them direct from china and considering our shitty ass artisian missile production i wont be surprised if they cost and take basically the same ammount of time to build.

I was making a case for PAF couple of days ago that they should now go towards an ALBM. With an air launched HD-1 hopefully in PAF hands soon, having an ALBM will be superb capability and a big headache for India as they will have to deal with subsonic and supersonic ALCM along with an ALBM.

The only issue will be the carrier for that ALBM because due to its weight and size only J-10 and Mirage can carry it if I am not mistaken. That's where JF-17 gets limited in its mission role due to its lightweight.

Also now we know that Fatah-3 is ToT HD-1, so the question is that what is Abdali Weapons System and what is its role? Because at first it was purported that Abdali Weapons System was going to be Fatah-3. If its a conventional missile system so that means it will also be part of ARFC's arsenal?

Abdali is the nuclear version of the Fatah 2

No the Abdali is NOT Fatah 3 and was never reported as such

It's purely nuclear weapon.

HD-1/Fattah 3 is 600km (Ground launched)

Its safe to assume air launched will be 900-1000km range conservatively speaking

On a side note, i think ARFC went for HD1 because of ToT deal otherwise CM302 , already in PN service missile was also available from China.

Its safe to assume air launched will be 900-1000km range conservatively speaking

Ground launched variants use a bigger booster so the range ends up the same. The booster does the job of the aircraft.

Hd-1s air launched version is much smaller. The SRB on the ground launched version is much bigger and afaict by advertisements the range is quoted to be similar for both of them as a result.

The interesting implication of F3 is that since it numericaly precedes f4 it mustve been inducted with license right after may. Which makes it possible that those units being testsed are actually produced in Pakistan. @Panzerkiel did i get it right?

I think someone posted marketing material of it alongside a jf-17 in this thread so presumably it can be launched via thunders and j-10 as well. I pray that it gets integrated on mirages as well, if not for anything else than the fact we put a SSCM on a mirage
