Here's my somewhat fanboyish hope for production rate of ARFC missiles in the very near future

150 Fatah 1s (already close to it to I think) $200k each

50 Fatah 2s (Achievable especially that now it seems production is really ramping up) probably around $800k each

50 Fatah 4s (again probably achievable) $1 Million each

50 HD-1/Fatah 3 (most fanboyish) $2-2.5 million

@Toxic if we do end up having air launched hd-1s with full 500-600km range whats the argument for taimoor? Lo? These things are gonna get through indian AD much more easily and have basically the same range as subsonics. There couldve been a cost or availability argument but theyre gonna make these here under ToT or alternatively have option buy them direct from china and considering our shitty ass artisian missile production i wont be surprised if they cost and take basically the same ammount of time to build.

Completely different requirements. Hd-1 is still gonna be a pain to deal with as a better missile than brahmos but smash is a ballistic missile able to fully exploit lack of good IN ABM cover to get through

I have absolutely no idea what PN is planning on they already have a mess of different subsonic supersonic and ballistic systems to deal with how the hell are they planning to standardise it on sea going warships. Honestly hd-1s are prob best choice option for a standard system on PN ships but theyre currently working on inducting just about everything else

TBF the recent conflict and the Ukraine war has shown that stealthy sub sonics can still definitely penetrate air defences.

I guess the argument could be that Indians would have more then one thing to look out for, they can also better reacquire a target in GPS spoofing environment with their IR seekers.

Also I think the price is probably going to come down since that babus have finally understood that they need more then just 5 raads.

Honestly just hope we can get a real LO 1000km+ taimoor/raad/fatah/harbah phase 7 or whatever they call it to hit their industrial and population heartlands from within Pakistan and put entire WIOR off limits for IN. Hell if we cant make one of our own just get some from china and produce under ToT just for the sake of detterence even
