Vietnam is no slave to China, it has no troops in Vietnam. Just Vietnamese industry is tied to or dependent on Chinese supply chains now. If you people don't like, form your own or with others, China won't have fuss.
that was a joke I made.
Looking back since Trump launched the global tariff war, Vietnam dependency on the US as consumer market and China for industrial goods is greater than ever.
Both China and America need Vietnam, as middleman, and as long as we are neutral, everyone is happy. No need for bloodshed.

3 naval ships
Vietnam launches 2 transport vessels and 1 gunship in a single day. Still no destroyers. Will be interesting if the navy has 500 naval ships with power projection into the Pacific.

The typhoons cover the entire Vietnam mainland while only parts of China. No, those midrange land-attack are very powerful not obsolete at all. Very dangerous.

The US doesn't want East Asia to become the destination haven of the foreign capital.

Since they cannot directly attack China, so they may target Vietnam instead.

Since the US under Trump right now is simply unpredictable.

Historic Military Sale: U.S. to Deliver C-130 Hercules to Vietnam

The United States is set to make its inaugural foreign military sale to Vietnam by supplying three Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transport planes. Announced by U.S. lawmaker Michael Baumgartner, this development is seen as a significant move to bolster Vietnam's defense capabilities.

According to information reported by Reuters, discussions between the two nations have been ongoing, though Lockheed Martin, Vietnam's foreign ministry, and the U.S. State Department have yet to comment on the transaction.

The C-130 aircraft, capable of carrying soldiers and military equipment, will strengthen Vietnamese defense amidst escalating tensions in the South China Sea. Since a 2016 embargo lift, defense exports to Vietnam have primarily consisted of coastguard vessels and trainer aircraft, with cost and integration issues slowing significant sales.

The painting of the VPAF roundels is an indication that this UAV has been inducted into service. Note the serial number is being blocked out in this photo to conceal how many have been produced.

Ah I missed the number on the wings. That new UAV looks much better than the previous UAVs. Is it a reverse engineered from Israeli spy drone?
