You need saturation attacks to take out warships these days, a warship with the capacity to fire only 8 missles and an AD of just 16 missles is literally useless. How the fck is it gonna saturate the AD of a warship with just 8 missles and the defend itself with only 16 AD missles. It is better to construct 2 proper destroyers rather than 6 of these Jinnah class sitting ducks.

Its not about the individual warship. They are putting together the package just like PAF. And just like the airwar, what will matter is the package you are able to bring to bear on the day vs the adversary.

The Radar probably won't be the Smart S MK2, more likely the Cenk S besides that it's essentially a babur with very slightly extra, but at the very least I hope they ditch the Gokdeniz for a Goksur

We must build lighter OPVs/Corvettes for coastal operations. For this project, lots of indegeniuous equipment is available. i.e radars, MANPADS, torpedoes, guns, UAVs.

The Sahiwal class gunboat is just that, but IMO it's the wrong way to go, PN should rather be focusing on very fast missile boats rather then peace time patrol vessels.

I've always advocated for a similar concept as the carrier battle group, but scaled down focused on a large air defence frigate or destroyer, which provides the air cover and long range sensor platform, with smaller, fast missile boats providing tactical offensive options, rather like the AWCS/fighter or fighter/loyal wingman concept. Allocate a sub or two to each battle group supported by MPAs.

Pretty stupid approach, Missile boats and submarines actually work best alone or with other missile boats and submarines.

stealthy fast missile boats can approach a Indian flotilla far closer then a frigate or destroyer can, launching their missiles with data provided by a sea sultan and then quickly getting away because good luck trying to hit a low RCS boat going at 60+knots with a brahmos.

Large capital ships are also large targets and Indians are going to make sure to throw everything at one.

Aby konse Pakistani CSGs ko protect karna hai, ajeeb fantasies, subs for subs in USN CSGs are supposed be their biggest Offensive punch besides aircraft and also their main ASW assets, because CSGs have to operate independently in open waters possibly far from coastal assets.

but in PNs case it's ships are very unlikely to move beyond coastal waters. PN is not going send it's surface ships into deep ocean for surface action because it would sucide to do so it would not need to allocate submarines to protect independent surface groups.

Iranians are trapped in the straight of Hormuz but we aren't, Indian won't have the air supremacy over us like the Americans do over Iran
