You know, folks on the forum here had this interesting idea of using a gliding SOW that would dispense small loitering munitions over an airfield. I really hope they're working on something like that.

The UK had a system called the JP233, basically cruise missile looking thing that would drop a ton of submunitions to turn any runway to dust- its basically halfway there lol

I think in any next conflict with India, they will rely more on Stand off weapons, while we will be focusing more on Rocket force F1 to F4/5. One thing for sure that Indians will be extra careful next time, probably remain even further within their own territory to launch these Stand-off weapons which they are buying in numbers.

Yeah, India has the CBU-105 and that has since gone out of production. However, with LMs, I think there's an opportunity to develop an analogous solution using small LMs as top-attack munitions. You basically get a Taimur ALCM-type munition that peppers the small LMs everywhere, and the LMs go (with meshing, autonomous targeting, etc) out to find and destroy parked aircraft, ground support equipment, etc.

You have to fly over the runway/airfield for that.
