One doesn't need to watch the Robert Kagan video I just posted above to realize this war will be seen as the most consequential war since World War II. And, like Kagan, I am taking into account all other wars, including the Vietnam War. The only war that comes remotely close was the Soviet-Afghan war of the 80s: If the Soviets had prevailed and turned Afghanistan into yet another 'Stan republic then maybe, maybe the Soviets had not collapsed and the Cold War would continue for many more years.

We have just witnessed a tectonic shift in geopolitics. Lucky us!

This guy's business is war and US domination. By saying all this he is merely laying the groundwork for a future war with Iran that involves ground troops ala Iraq. Him and other neocons haven't fully figured out the justifications or how to sell it and neither do I think they will be able to sell it to the American public. Unless there is another 9/11 style attack on US soil and Iran is found responsible.

Highly unlikely. Instead his gripe is that zion burned not only the opportunity, isolated the US and further isolated zion and exposed the limits of zionist and American power. He's crowing the dawn of a new era of limited US presence globally.
Second, US simply cannot produce the man power needed for the undertaking short of a draft and that too will be futile with inherent limits to deployment and loss of life... not to mention precarious American finances to underwrite the adventure.

This therefore is the new status quo... the higher gas prices are here to stay and they're not priced accordingly... the futures though already project sustained high fuel prices for the foreseeable future. Any push for the alternatives will further increase already high prices. There simply is no short cut... that also means abandoning US/zuonist demand of non nuclear Iran as it simply cannot be enforced.

And I had already alluded to that... it means zion will resort back to its original overt terrorist outfit ... it never stopped being one but they had started playing for the gallery, virtue signaling and moral superiority... exposed... they can drop the cloak for good. Iran therefore doesn't face an invasion but sabotage and terror to weaken it... priming for collapse.

Kagan crying over the loss for his real homeland (Israel) is not going to influence American policy about any future war on Iran by crying over the losses. He is very sad and bitter but also being a realistic unlike the likes of Lindsay Graham and Ted Cruise.

My skepticism is the same as what Green Greenwald mentioned in a talk with Tucker Carlson, when Carlson asked him if Greenwald thought America was going to learn anything from the Iran debacle. Greenwald recalled the 2003 Iraq war and how the rationale, the description of the threat, the methodology even the people recommending the war (neocons, AIPAC, GOP) were all the same in 2026, and hence he could not say that America would behave differently in the future.
