Certainly looks like an NGAD prototype.

6th gen platforms cannot have canards. This looks like a clone of the j20…

OP, start doing better research.

Posted yesterday on TWZ:

What's shown in the Twitter film looks quite similar to this:

No, J-20s canards are like barn doors. US advancements in aeroelastic surfaces:

To further support the theory that F-47 will utilize AAW technology, Boeing Phantom Works has been working on AAW going back 25+ years to the X-53 aircraft. Clearly, computational and materials design has significantly advanced since then

So I postulate that if F-47 does have canards, it’s highly likely it will utilize AAW technology.

A 6th gen can have anything it wants, because 6th gen (much like 5th gen) is just a marketing term, with no real set of agreed upon perimeters.

If the US thinks its okay, chances are they're okay, because much like China, they have smartass engineers designing these jets.

6th gen has zero definition of canards or no canards.
If anything the definition is more tied to avionics and energy weapons along with deep networking.

AI is fine but it doesn’t address the problem everyone has with understanding how far ahead US manufacturing is.

The math for the ideal solution was figured out 30-40 years ago - we’re just building it in the most advanced fashion possible.

How Northrop managed to bury those engines on the B-21 with that inlet design is absurd.

I'd wager a bet saying that US technology is ahead, but manufacturing is far behind.

Its not a secret that the US has been struggling to meet its defense manufacturing goals, and the Iran war has exposed just how bad things are.

They're trying to throw money at the problem, but in the long run they have to weigh the costs vs the benefits and decide if having a large number of advanced systems in modern wars is more beneficial than having a large number of cheaper and easily manufactured systems they can mass produce.

Honestly, I'm just rambling now. Sorry if im not making sense, kinda sick right now.

Nope
Manufacturing is fine but the issue is bean counters screwing up the scale and certain rubber stamped standards

Also probably solved mathematically/design some 20-30 years ago - just needed materials or rather cost to be able to implement the design come down enough.

A lot on our end is dictated by cost and keep in mind it is a government contract so lowest bidder goes all the way through the chain even if Northrop wants otherwise.

My canard knock was in jest Phantom Works and Skunkworks knows what they are doing it doesn't matter canards or not what we do know is it's going to be the most advanced weapon system when it enters service. For now the tittle for most advanced weapons system belongs to the F-35.
