And fanboys on this website think Pakistan is anywhere close to Turkey's defence industrial ecosystem.

Pakistan has a weak immature rushed ecosystem marred with nepotism and subpar human resources compared to Turkey's intricately structured industrial ecosystem.

Often people say that for a nuclear power like Pakistan going for such long range missiles would be suicide... I do think Pakistan has the ability to produce a very capable ICBM.

Both are vaporware projects, the engine is pure fantasy unless you think the Turks are a full 25 years ahead of the Americans in jet engine development.

Getting almost 50% more mass flow rate than the F110 while being pretty much unchanged is pretty absurd.

As for that ICBM it's just a plastic model unless you think the Turks went from showcasing MRBM designs to building ICBMs in single year.

Not to say the Turkish defense industry isn't far ahead us of but let's not get carried away because if it comes to showcasing stuff Iranians had a lot stuff too.

I mean you are right that they are not mature products but I don't agree with them being vapourware, they are just in very early stages, unlike Iran, Turkey is putting in the work to establish a strong foundation in terms of university academia in STEM, to research infrastructure, and efficient development institutes. It will take time but it has a very strong base to build on and is already churning out good products (Hurjet, Tayfun, etc).

Vapourware is the wrong term

It took China 20 years from initial testing to having a engine (WS10B) good enough to replace the AL-31s on their fighter aircraft and this engine is promising far more then that, mind you the Turks are barely a year into the testing of their TF35000 meaning realistically they are atleast 12 years away from mass production.

But yes this engine is complete fantasy.

Great episode, Army seems to be the most forward thinking when it comes to LMs, especially with the scale factor, one thing is that we can tap into our local auto and tractor manufacturers like Sazgar and Millat to build motors for these drones, especially because there is the scale required where local production would not only make sense but be economical too.

Turkey is a very advanced and sophisticated military power not doubt about it

They are decedents of the Ottomans who ruled Europe for 500 years

Pakistan is Pakistan a solid military power

India centric but a solid power
