Not completely understanding Iran's strategy here now.

They did well in the recent skirmish against Israel. But with US, it is getting its radar degraded for missile strikes on Kuwait. 4 missile strikes, are not effective enough to make an impact.

My only guess is Iran, does not believe in bullet for bullet, wave for wave, and is only targeting in what it believe is important here. That too, is hard to justify.

It is now been confirmed that several Apache helicopters were hit with at least one shot down but Iran’s response is weak .

It took Iran hours to launch 6 ballistic missiles and a few drones

Hardly a “crushing” response to major U.S. escalation. Iran is rapidly losing deterrence. If we cannot launch more than a handful of missiles at a time, there are other options to pursue, such as counter value strategies and under sea cables, etc.
